Does the boss want those 2 hours of your free time back? A study says fighting through crowds to office each day hurts productivity

Re: You misquoted your own poll

"OTOH, all the train companies might go bust due to lack of demand."

Nope, the government changed the franchise set up so it is taking the hit on reduced traffic. The rail companies are coining it in on subsidies etc and being paid by the government to run empty trains. Have read of Private Eye.

I just sorted your post a bit.

Stop

I dont blame them.

This drive for a cashless society is only coming from the banks. To give those corrupt profit grabbing institutes total control of your finances seems madness to me.

Given all the recent news about money laundering etc in the Fincen papers would you trust a drug dealers money man with all your finances?

Does It Matter

Given that the vast majority of photos taken on phones are displayed on phones via Facebook etc or fool tube in the case of video, which usually compresses the file anyway before displaying, does the resolution really matter? If you are in the business of taking high-quality images you are going to use a good quality camera set up. As was said earlier, it's all about willy-waving.

Horrible Things

I was in Auckland last year where they have the ride and dump version. The streets were littered with abandoned scooters (not supposed to happen with this system) and you had to keep a permanent lookout for the lunatics doing 15 mph on the pavement. Also saw some interesting consequences of large potholes. the phrase 'arse over tit' popped into my head a lot.

Can't see this being a great success but can see a few boxing matches coming about when somebody crashes into the wrong pedestrian especially later inn the evening now that the pubs are back open.

It's National Cream Tea Day and this time we end the age-old debate once and for all: How do you eat yours?

Re: It doesn't matter..

Not really, as usual, us scots through a spanner in the works, generally we pronounce it like 'gone' but when it comes to the town of Scone, home of Scottish monarchs we pronounce it to rhyme it with 'soon'.

Re: It is apparent....

Is it financially viable to have all the correct insurance etc. in place to do this a couple of times a month or are we all at risk of not being covered in case of an accident? Why are they called ride-sharing when they are obviously just minicabs? Surely ride-sharing is when you and the driver are going to the same destination not when you call/use an app to order a car to pick you up.

Re: Shut it

I was in Italy a few years ago and noticed that one of the mobile companies was Telephonica Italia Mobilia, pardon the cod italian. or TIM and its company colours were red white and blue. for someone who grew up in the west of Scotland this was hilarious, for anybody else, other than the Irish, probably went straight over their head.

Re: Range & Time for a FULL charge

This excuse gets trotted out on a regular basis. The vast majority of motorist travel small distances and stop for a fair amount of time inbetween so range isnt that inportant. availability of charging points however is a more relevant issue.
