Rust in peace: Memory bugs in C and C++ code cause security issues so Microsoft is considering alternatives once again

Re: Eh?

So your entire comment boils down to "old bad". Ain't nothing wrong with C for system programming. Rust is absolutely pointless. Any and all amount of "safe" code goes to the shitter the moment you try to dereference pointers. Which is an inherent part of the way operating systems work. Use Rust where it is applicable. It definitely is not in this area.

Boffins debunk study claiming certain languages (cough, C, PHP, JS...) lead to more buggy code than others

Reminds me of...

Those functional programming turbonerds that downtalk every other language in existence because it "allows you to write bad code" while X functional language doesnt. Could it be because the language is so rigid and inflexible that the moment you try to do something that would make total sense in another language, the compiler flings crap at you?

Re: Bah

I second the used T series argument. I got a T430 a year ago for £120 and bought a new battery and a 120GB SSD for it. Works like a champ!

Re: ".NOT" on RPi

You'd be surprised to learn how good .net core is compared to its retarded brother .net framework.

Re: Tl;dr

And because Android is getting exponentially worse.

No thanks

Android 4.4 continues to remain the best Android that Google has ever made. You know, back when they didn't dumb down the UI with every release and introduce a trillion different useless battery-hogging, CPU-eating services.
