Really.. Windows10 is nothing more than a Windows8.2

They are forcing users into upgrading to Windows10 by killing off Windows7 and not giving DirectX12 to Windows8.x

They are so desperate to give it away for free now but just for 1 year. Because they so much want to copy Apple but for no more than a year...

And the HoloLens ? A very bad copy of the already failed Google Glass.

Augmented reality is not holograms and it's not an holographic thing.

This pair of glasses looks huge and silly. No one is going to use it other than a bunch of people paid by the Microsoft marketing machine just like Google paid people to show the Google Glass nonsense thing.

The majority of people already rejected the useless glasses for fake 3D .. the industry all together along with Hollywood didn't manage to sell that crap again and it's now a dead technology...

Google halted production of Google Glass because all surveys tell them that people would not buy any glasses to use a computer or for augmented reality. No one would go around wearing those.

And Microsoft with its marketing machine is trying to sell a huge pair of glasses blabbing about holograms ? Seriously ?

4K is just like what 720p was for HDTV before 1080p got released. The UHDV revolution is happening very fast now. Prices keep falling.

The only real issue is the mess the industry did with a lack of proper gaming consoles capable of smooth 4K 3D 60fps playable games

As well as the lack of a new high quality high bitrate optical media standard. And the upcoming UHDV BluRay for 4K only at 100Mbps it's too little too late.

They better release 8K capable future proof hardware now or they won't be able to market it properly like they did mostly thanks to Sony with its Playstation3 and BluRay standard for the HDTV era.

That is the only truth. These IBM managers are thieves and should be put in jail. They stole billions inside the group. The have destroyed the biggest and strongest IT Corporation ever. They kept faking accounting to show that they needed to sell this and that. Nothing was ever true. They were just stealing money and getting bribes from competitors to sell the assets and so on.. It's all dirty business, it's all dirty money..it's a mafia thing!

If there was any justice bankers and these managers would have been put in jail long time ago. Unfortunately we live in a world with no justice and criminals are allowed to become managers, steal money, steal assets, destroy people lives along with top-notch products.

IBM managers are thieves!

They are selling the microprocessors/high-end super computers CPUs unit and factories at an ultra cheap price that it's just plain insane!

They destroyed IBM in a very short time, they sold all its top-notch units. IBM had the best CPUs way more advanced than what Intel is able to do.. a good reason why when there were good managers at Sony willing to create top-notch products they co-developed the Cell CPU with IBM for the Playstation3 (but nowadays Sony too is full of thieves controlling the group and wasting time, money and resources like never before).

These managers are thieves! Just plain criminals like bankers! They all deserve to be put in jail!

Anyone can sign up as a developer on Apple. It means nothing claiming to be a developer to attack Apple like this.

iOS 8 is excellent. And a developer claiming that it's useless to end users clearly has no clue what he is talking about.

Rescaling algorithms don't use simple 2x2 pixel blocks and such...

To rescale pictures complex techniques based on signal theory are used. Complex interpolation algorithms are used. It's not just a simple "double the pixel" thing with Retina. Otherwise pictures and text wouldn't look that good. The simplest "double pixel" techniques were used in the past, ancient for IT, when hardware didn't have the computing power to process more complex, better algorithms.

Really.. competitors are so desperate. Android manufacturers don't disclose actual numbers, the number of real customers that bought their products but just give the press the numbers of units sold to distributors,shops... not the sold ones, which are always a lot lower than the true actual numbers of Apple.

This analyst is so silly... what is he going to tell then at the end of this first quarter of sales? That if the iPhone6 number of units sold is going to be "just" 60million it would be a big failure? Or that if it's "just" 70 to 80million that wouldn't be enough and that it would still be a failure and next quarter the numbers would drop? Or that the new iPhones would be too expensive to manufacture and so Apple would need 120-150million units sold per quarter to break even ?

Please... these analysts paid by competitors are really so pathetic.

These guys with the marketing babbling nonsense "object storage" are just beyond silly...

So they aren't using any RAID algorithms to create and manage redundancy on the drives arrays ? Really?

I doubt that!

NAS manufacturers have been using extended proprietary RAID modes that allow to mix drives of different sizes avoiding the limits of classic RAID levels for years already...

The "object storage" revolution it's just marketing babbling. At the low level you always need to write algorithms with some very complex math like RAID.

They provide no technical info to backup their claims. If they created something so much better than RAID then they should give some low level technical info to let people understand why it would be so much better than RAID. And why it would be as much or more reliable...

But I really think that this is all just marketing b*ll here...

iOS 7.x is faster on iPad2, iPhone4, iPhone4S

Upgraded many devices to iOS 7.x .. iPad2, iPhone4 and iPhone 4S became a lot faster compared to previous iOS 5 and iOS 6

Apple recently added back support for old apps on App Store...

So that customers with old unsupported devices could continue downloading the latest available version of any app previously compiled for the old iOS versions those devices are stuck at.

They need to release 250GB or 500GB discs for 8K and 4K...

HDTV became a standard thanks to the Blu-Ray and the Sony Playstation3 gave a huge sales boost worldwide.

Sony managers this time decided to steal money and release a Playstation4 fraud which is not the real Playstation4... In fact the real Playstation4 prototype it's still in Sony labs and it's known to feature a 16-core Cell 2 CPU that IBM built for Sony as well as a 500GB holographic discs unit....

If only Sony managers released that top-notch product instead of the ultra slow AMD APU Jaguar fraud along with Microsoft.. then now there would have been no issues releasing high-quality 100Mbps H.265 encoded 8K movies on 500GB discs for The-True-Playstation4 users.

So either Sony releases that prototype renamed as Playstation5 immediately and stops with the current fraud or there is not much hope for UltraHD to invade the market...

With SSD only the failure rate is sky high!

SSD failure rate even on the most expensive SLC drives/devices it's in the range of a whole sector... which means usually 512bit (a typical sector) every 10E17 bits ... which is a failure rate 512 times higher than 1 bit every 10E17 bits for enterprise class Hard Disk drives !
