Is it illegal?
What if I answer "yes" my hard drive is rammed to the max with naked ladies. What happens then?

...well you'd think, but I recently fancied buying a HTC Hero just to mess with. I thought I could get one for £10 on eBay... but they are still £200+ pounds and that's with this years upgraded HTC Legend available for around the same price. While I was at it I checked out the prices of the iPhone.. no bargains to be had!
>In fact some phones were selling for MORE than retail value, NUTS!!!!
You're kidding right?
What a steaming POS that phone was, I had two, but gave up in the end, settling for a SE k800i instead, was a dull phone but at least in worked.
The N95 was a Jack of all trades Master of none... and I do mean none. Every single function on it was under-par, to give but one example, it had a 5mp camera on it, but compressed the pictures down to about 200kb, leaving you with a jaggy colour saturated mess (my replaces k800i was much a much better shooter).
After that debacle I'll never be buying another Nokia.
Win7 will present the user with the new OS interface, which is non-custmisable, i.e., no HTC Touch Flo allowed. Whilst this is great for M$, in that all of their Win7 phones will be easily recognizable, increasing the Microsoft branding mindset, this will be bad for, e.g. HTC. I expect the reason 6.x will hang around will be to allow those companies which want their own corporate image on their phones to persist.
Having seen the new Win7 interface, for me, it's too simple. The thing that these days I found most boring on my iPhone is its lack of home screen customisability... hence why I am now drawn to 6.X and Android phones. Having MY phone look only the way M$ wants it to look is very Apple-esque, and dull!
my iPhone 3G contract expires pretty soon.... the "4G" replacement had better be a lot more kick ass than the iPad, or Nexus here I come.....
... no wonder Steve is peeved, he's just realised that the 4G iPhone is a POS and that the future is robotic!
- Terminator head, the ultimate android!
my biggest concern with the LibDems is that they want to rehabilitate all the murderers and put them back in society (-1 there)
however, at lest the LibDem leader (whatever he is called!) is not of the GB/TB God-squad ilk and won't be claiming God told him to invade whatever country the next lot of oil's found in (+1 there)....
....that does remind me, they were opposed to the Iraq war too...hmmm, another +1, I might have to find out their leaders name after all so I know where to put my X
[PS: +1 for the downloads too!!]
How I wish I could go back to Office 2003. God I HATE that F-in ribbon SO much. I like my PC minimalist with only the icons I use regularly on display, instead I am forced to find the icon I want amongst every bloody possible frikkin icon - MORONS!!
Secondly, as I suffer from migraines I liked the old blue-backgroun/white text option as it was easier on the eye.... THANKS A BUNCH M$ for removing this usability option!!!
I don't want holographic displays, laserz and pico projectors, here's my wish list for the 4G:
- customisable home screen
- bigger clock
- my own wallpaper as background
- my own message alert tone
- calendar event notification on the home screen
It's the little things... but I miss my CTU ring tone!
Anybody else?
This week I have either been getting a white page or the main page has been taking an age to load (that's with Safari 4.0.4, seemingly slightly better with FF 3.5.7).
...obviously I need to try FF 3.6, The Reg has probably already forward optimized to the future version!
PS: Please can El Reg consider having the comments start on the first page when I click on them & not the last page? I keep finding myself starting to read the comments half way through, ta!
Ooooohhhh!!!!!
My very first phone, a Samsung flip one, had a green intermittently flashing green LED on it. When I received an SMS it flashed red, just awesome! (I'm easily pleased).
Apparently the tracker ball on the G-phone flashes when you have a call, I mean, what more could you ask for?
I'm sold!
As I was so fed up with my iBone I tried to Jailbreak, lots of places tell you how easy it is... but if you read the forums you'll also find loads of people with bricked phones! I got stuck at the "recovery mode" step, I managed to put the phone in it but then the computer (OSX) wouldn't recognise the phone! Thankfully the iTunes backup was, for once, extremely useful and restored the phone, phew!!
Why did I want to Jailbreak? Well for nothing more than having my own picture as wallpaper (instead of black!) and to have my own message alert tone - it's the little things!!! Oh... yes... I'd also like to see the clock (bigger) and most of all, when I have something entered into the calendar on a certain day I"D LIKE IT TO F-IN TELL ME (deep breath)....
The G-Phone looks very interesting, can't wait till April when my O2 iBone contract's up....
[of concern though: sunlight legibility, non-existant apparently?!]
thereby QED he was the Son of God and all of your counter arguments are false.
I herby claim that I am the 2nd son of God and that it is the 1st of January 2010...
Now in 2000 yrs time when somebody digs up the El Reg hard drive and, lo, do discover that the date of my proclamation matches the actual date and that furthermore America does exist then I must indeed by the Son of God 2 and must have existed.
[although of course I do exist]
"How pathetically desperate is the Reg and the Nerdcore?"
...yes, we are, fancy wasting our time commenting of forthcoming non-existant technology....
"Like it or not nerdcore, all major phones from the last 2 years have been directly influenced by the iPhone."
...when we could be commenting on existing technology instead, like YOU!
and so the slow grinding of the "rumour mill" begins!!!
last year we were all so wrong! Remember how the iPhone3GS was supposed to have a 25million megapixel camera & holographic display and all we got was a compass...
....this year I'm predicating it'll have a built in iPen, for when you need to write an iNote..
....is utterly pants [wot with your thumbs covering half the screen]
likewise accelerometer controlled gaming is also utterly pants.
Thirdly the iPhone is like a bar of soap to hold, not ideal for gaming.
Oh, finally, all the games on it are utterly pants! [go on, name a good one?!]
So, in conclusion: pants!
