How can FB ensure researchers don't sell the information on? Legal threats? Because the vetting that FB proposed seems like the only other solution.

On a side note that 3 year-old Chrome issue regarding NTLM/WS is absurd.

Edge issue aside, it's actually a rally handy program. It's lightweight and fast because they took a bunch of unused features out. I use it because outlook feels so sluggish to me.

For now I'm happy to resort to copying and pasting a link into my browser to avoid Edge.

SSL certificates are free and take little effort to install, add virtually no load or problems for your website and require at most a renewal every now and then. If that's all it takes to dissuade you from self-hosting…
