SCOLD WAR: Kaspersky drags Uncle Sam into court to battle AV ban

PC LOAD LETTER

Re: can't blame them

And it's not just antivirus software on the client computers that does this. Many organizations (businesses, schools, etc.) use firewalls (such as Palo Alto, etc.) that filter out any downloads/uploads that they can't identify and upload them for analysis to determine whether they're harmful or not.

Re: I'd rather know

@EJ

Possibly. Depending on what OS and/or burning software you're using, you sometimes have to select Burn From Image, or Burn ISO, etc. I would recommending "burning" the ISO to a USB flash drive, using something like Rufus (if using Windows):

https://rufus.akeo.ie/

It makes installation pretty snappy.

Alternately, for DVD burning, something like ImgBurn:

or Active@ ISO Burner:

Hope this helps...

But thanks for the fun 404! Kinda rare these days. For the 404 go here:

Sadly for [those]* looking for a fall guy, this won't change their minds. However, for those of us that feel that Kaspersky may be receiving unfair blame or would like to renew their faith in their products, rather having to rely on other dodgy AV solutions, this is welcome.
