Craig, if you haven't already read it I can recommend The Bell Ringers by Henry Porter.

It's a story along the same kind of lines but with a particularly British venality and it's quite chilling.

I don't know all the ins and outs of Apple's tax deal but I do know at least one global tech firm is going to significantly increase its presence in Ireland very soon.

Perhaps that's a sign Ireland's got something right.

The crew cancelled a ground proximity warning, ignored a system status warning and did not respond to various other alarms or anomalies.
