Everything about W10 is not trustworthy.

It was a bit more than the pop-ups.

- The changing and sneaking W10 updates into Win7 updates and security patches.

- renaming patches that gave Win7, W10 spyware ware which WE DID NOT WANT.

- After the user removes said W10 updates, you would CONTINUE to re-install W10 nagware updates.

I like others, cannot fully trust any more Win7 updates without checking various sources to see what kind of crap MS had tried to sneak in.

Hence, I have 4 legit Win7 PCs at home. NONE OF THEM are "upgraded" to Win10. Nothing. I can still buy Win7Pro for a while longer in the stores/online - will do so as needed.

In the next few years, my migration to Linux will be complete. I'm already building Linux systems for some of my clients. And if one of my other business gets traction and I need to buy a few PCs for the office employees to use, I will build them and they will be Linux .

Here in the USA... we Americans have to be the resistance, the rebels against the incoming fascists leader who has the fascists house and Senate to back him up. Yeah, a lot of us are worried that this insane person is going to start nuclear exchanges. If not in the USA, perhaps somewhere.

The empire is the bad guy. The russian puppet is the bad guy. Taking away the rights of Americans makes them THE BAD GUYS. And its not just the USA under attack, our allies in Europe are under attack too. Learn from our stupidity! Briexit should have been a wake up call. If the EU and NATO collapses - things will go to shit very quickly on a global scale.

For those who like the WinPhone Metro UI, there is an easy solution when you go Android... since WinPhone is dying. I used to use this myself back in the Android 2.x days with my first Samsung Galaxy S phone (before there was a 2, 3, 4, etc).

Once Android 4 came out, I stopped using it myself for my own needs. But have recommended it for others or small children because of how its user customized options - beyond what an actual WP can do.

The UI screen rotates with the phone (cool - wish Android would do that on the main screen) is an option... and its slick. And that feature is 5+ years old. Even some of my WinPhone friends are asking me advice to replacement phones.

In general, MS should have taken over the Phone market with such phones that share<>connect whatever so much with the PC. But with Windows 8~10 so hated and the inability up upgrade WinPhone 7 devices to 8, that burned A LOT of people... who wanted to touch it?

RIM really screwed themselves years ago. They couldn't see the writing on the wall. When they bought out a small company to get an OS (forgot its name) which they spent 2+ years into making it a Tablet ONLY OS, then another 2 before making for their own phones.

When they should have just gone Android, modified it to their standards and have something on the market in less than a year.

hell, even the NEW Nokia phones coming out are... Android.

Dear Microsoft - die already.

Wait A MINUTE! Didn't Microsoft say 1 billion installs in 12 months? Then 500m in 12 months?

Lets see, I have two desktops and two Thinkpads. They all HAD Windows 7. I installed Windows 8 preview on a Thinkpad for a month before replacing it with Linux Mint. Windows 10 fixes some Win8 issues, but the NAGWARE and the spyware and malware they install onto Win7 & 8 computers should be considered CRIMINAL ACTS!

So, I have NOT taken up the incredible deal of FREE Windows 10, which according to MS, "we're not considering using the subscription model for home users at this time". give it a few years. So yeah, I'm not bothering to BUY any Windows beyond 7. DX12, oh well. I'll have to live with what I have, which will work pretty much fine for todays games... or buy a PS4 or PS5. Forget the MS Xbone.

WTF?! People can't install updates without causing slow-downs or downright failures. And without the MSmalware, the Win7 updater tends to lock-up, so even getting just the Security patches is difficult unless doing a manual install. Kind of kills the purpose of keeping systems UPTODATE to protect the Windows ecosystem, eh?

So Microsoft... drop dead. I'm already moving clients to Linux (slowly) some will wait until 2020. Any client that installs Windows 10 onto their computers, I don't offer any support for problems. Don't care to waste my time on that.

Microsoft has been doing nothing but failure after failure.

- Windows 8

- Windows 10 with scamware

- Office 2013 with its horrible flat UI and crappy pricing (no two-home installs per lic)

- XboxOne w/ Kinetics

- Buying out part of Nokia (which Nokia will soon enter the market with Android phones)

- Windows Phone platform - dead, hell,it makes Blackberry look good.

- WinRT tablets... and their $1000+ Pro models.

Really, other than doing taxes and a few programs, why do we really need a $150 OS for from Microsoft? Linux boots up faster, easier to use, and works like an OS should. And NO BLOAT!

Those who enjoy their W10, more power to you. But the majority will stick with Win7 for now for another few years. MS has lost to Android. Period. How many of our wives and family are using their PHONES as their computers? Remember the OLD days when they bought cheap PCs, had problems with them - calling us for help and never really using them - other than email, browser and FB? Something ANY $100+ phone can do eaisly.

Microsoft... buh-bye!
