It's Pi day: Care to stuff a brand new Raspberry one in your wallet?

All Pi's need USB3!

I have three RaspPi boards of various iterations, but I won't buy (or use) any more of them until they get rid of that ancient USB2 interface and install at least one USB3 port! I don't care if it requires a price increase, but I need speed to the "outside world" (such as USB thumb drives and high-speed external hard drives).

You have the right to be informed: Write to UK.gov, save El Reg

Your answer is simple: just move your operation to the USA, where freedom of the press is encouraged.

Of course, that doesn't negate the total "wrongness" of what the U.K. government is doing to the used-to-be-free-press in your country. Will a write-in campaign really be effective? From my observation of that tactic here in the USA, the politicians will just go ahead and do whatever they want anyway -- never mind the interests or thoughts of the very people who elected them!

If your satellite Internet provider is Hughes Net, then I can almost GUARANTEE that the problem is with HughesNet! I wrestled with those guys for three years before I was able to find a local alternative that was NOT satellite based.

Speaking of "statistics": 87.56% of the time, statistics are simply "made up" by 78.49% of the people who employ them!

Re: Shared?

"DropBear" is correct that "short wave" is traditionally defined as 1.6-30.0 MHz. The hf radio spectrum will NOT support the kind of data rates that are touted in the article. Further, FCC rules in the USA (and in most other countries as well) prohibit such bandwidth-eating transmission methods. Further still, how will the digital stream(s) perform a Station Identification (also a requirement in the hf radio spectrum)?
