Dodgy dealer on Amazon lures marks towards phishing site

I reported these sellers several months ago, a couple of times via online help, and when they kept appearing I emailed Amazon Security. No response.

They've been active for a long time now, with *many* different seller names, on possibly all Amazon EU sites (often Germany), and target popular electronics, camera lenses etc. The descriptive text always says to email an address prior to purchase and "used for advertising purposes in my store only!!!" etc. They have slowly changed the format of text, presumably to work around keyword/email address searches done by Amazon.

It only pissed me off because it triggered my CamelCamelCamel & Firefox Distill extention alerts.

I propose making this position largely redundant. They are trying to fix the thing which is causing problems, not eliminate the thing causing the problems.

Hear me out.

Make Windows a VM. The OS would be managed by a new ultra-barebones hypervisor. There would be a dedicated static file (.vhdx in current paralance) containing the OS, and another for settings, and another for apps, and another for data.

Windows updates would then simply be a case of downloading the new OS .vhdx (or byte/block patching for small updates) and "rebooting" into it and updating the settings "schema" - it should be pretty much instant.

Apps could also be run from their isolated VM, similar to running Edge in its own VM.

I would be happy for a modest one-off £5million consultancy fee from Microsoft for this revolutionary idea. Pretty cheap, I think.

I expect it will be a bit of a bastard to update any software on this, never mind the OS. Presumably they will be using wifi, which might cause a whole range of other issues - presumably observers in the Gallery will need to be searched for anything which might be able to disrupt 2.5GHz/5GHz, and they will need a backup plan. Presumably the wifi airwaves will be ridiculously saturated with 650 MPs all downloading at the same time.

They will just keep dropping & breaking the tablets anyway. If it's not bolted down, they WILL be dropped and get soaked in alcohol/water.

This is another reason why they should abandon Westminster and move to a purpose-built facility designed for this task with touch-screens/keyboards/mice built in to the desks. It should also save many £thousands on paper - all documentation on the subjet at hand could be available & searchable immediately.
