UK spy overseer: Snooper's Charter cockups are still getting innocents arrested

Re: Is that all?

Sue her in small claims court for something?

She's been to court..by her OWN logic she's guilty.

Re: It'll be like decimalisation all over again, but spelt decimation due to a shortage of letters.

Because Britain has never been powerful on its own right? ever?

We're a tiny little island with the 5th largest economy on the planet. Doesn't that tell you something?

Also the fact the EU BEGGED and PLEADED for the referendum to be scrapped. They need us more than we need them, but they're like an abusive boyfriend.

"if you leave me, YOU'll be the one thats sorry, you're just not GOOD enough to live without me!" <sob>

The answer is simple

Start IMPRISONING the staff of these companies for fraud.

If you cut off their chances of employing anyone, they will go under as they need THOUSANDS of calls every few hours to find the few gullible idiots willing to give info/cash etc.

I'd say a 5 year prison sentence per employee/manager is justified. Watch the recruitment dry up in weeks.

Bitcoin backer sues AT&T for $240m over stolen cryptocurrency

xyz123

If AT&T loses, they're out over 200 million dollars

if they WIN, they could be out BILLIONS because they'll effectively have said they have ZERO security for customers and aren't liable for losses. Business will HAVE to switch.

MacBook Pro petition begs Apple for total recall of krap keyboards

xyz123

An apple a day doesn't keep the legal woes away.

Apple is a lot closer to being out of loose cash than most people realize.

They've had to pay out BILLIONS to shareholders who want to re-invest cash instead of it sitting in Apples accounts doing nothing.

Large numbers of remaining shareholders forced apple to not take "risks" with the cash it does still hold onto. It essentially has to ask shareholders for each R&D development it wants to pursue.

They're paying 13 billion to the EU for tax avoidance along with 5-10 billion in penalties.

China has said their subsidiaries "failed to pay legally due tax" and has said Apple is liable if Foxconn etc don't pay up.

India is pursuing lawsuits for tax avoidance for apple product sales but the amount is unknown.

China (again) saying they'll take Apples IP off them if they don't pay what they owe.

Internal struggles with Tim Cook fending off attempts to topple him from his position as people feel he's not a visionary, just a beancounter squeezing customers for every cent.

Apple deciding to END support completely for the iPhone X in October (no software or security updates at all - you're on your own) and now a plan to see just how much they can wring out of macbook users by lowering the quality of the product specifications to something from 2014-2015 and the build quality even lower whilst RAISING prices!.

Elon Musk's Tesla burns $675.3m in largest ever quarterly loss

xyz123

who?

Criminal organization? which one? Ford? GM? Nissan? Audi? VW? Vauxhall? or is there some emmissions-cheating dinosaur heavy-in-debt dying car company that has illegal subsidies and backdoor bribery of senators that I'm missing?

xyz123

So which car manufacturer do you shill for?

I'm genuinely curious, since all the other manufacturers tried to destroy Tesla, then tried to BUY out Tesla, now they resort to petty internet sniping hoping to hurt their company value.

Sad and pathetic dying gasps from an industry that said electric cars weren't wanted by the public, but now follow on Tesla's footsteps as their previous selling models become unsustainable.

So many dinosaur car companies MASSIVELY MASSIVELY in debt for many many billions, cutting employee numbers and wages, yet still slagging off rivals.

Why hasn't this family came forward with proof of the supernatural and claimed the James Randi Prize of $1,000,000 ?

Also there are THOUSANDS of other prizes to be claimed, not to mention that since you have ACTUAL GHOSTS in your home, people would pay thousands, if not tens of thousands of pounds to visit...Scientists, rich people etc.

Did I forget the hundreds of thousands of pounds for a newspaper/tv exclusive? the Movie rights?

The fact that if this was true it would be on every single channel in every single country for MONTHS.

This would be a world-changing event greater than WW1 and WW2 combined, as the entirety of humanity would have proof of life after death.

I don't remember the Olympic coverage being cancelled to take us live to this house in Scotland? Do you? (It would be a MUCH more important story than anything about sport and would DOMINATE all forms of media).

Oh yes, and the war in Syria would pretty much grind to a halt once people found out there IS an afterlife so they would face justice for their actions.

This family could make hundreds of MILLIONS out of this, unless of course it's all bullsh*t, which of course it is because GHOSTS AREN'T REAL.

>> Most products are made from a "subtractive" process such as carving a marble statue. "Casting" is another method and is used to make chocolate bunnies, which is as old as the Greeks.

Nothing except one-offs?

Obviously you haven't seen how artificial hips are produced both on the NHS and in the US?

You also might want to google: Sintered Titanium 3d printing, SpaceX, 3d printing chemicals, 3d printed houses, etc etc

The entire concept of 3d printing is one-offs. Scale of process is no longer a barrier to entry. Customized items can be made as one-offs without immense effort and money. THIS is why big companies are terrified. They're staring death in the face and death is grinning with his one-off 3d Printed custom-fitted dentures....

Apple, Google should give FBI every last drop of user information, says ex-HP CEO and wannabe US prez Carly Fiorina

xyz123

Terrible woman - no Business sense

Carly Fiorina was such a TERRIBLE boss, that when she was sacked from HP, everyone was terrified of her screaming temper tantrums and no-one wanted to be the one to tell her.

The Board of Directors waited until she went home for the weekend, deleted ALL her Outlook calendar appointments etc, and made her PA tell her she was fired.

Horrible nasty woman who basically dove HP into the ground, cost them 10s of BILLIONS off their share price.

Side story: she fell for an email scam and wasted $500,000 of her own money sending it to someone who promised her MILLIONS in return...which shows her level of business acumen.

A Brit cloud biz and an angry customer wanting a refund: A Love Story

xyz123

Turbo-switch your cloud system

All you need to do (and I actively encourage people to pass this info on) instead of having customers DIRECTLY upload to a cloud service, use a redirection webpage which handles your customer selecting the file they want to upload.

In this way, if you change cloud provider, it's the matter of one single change to a single setting to redirect the customers uploaded file to another cloud provider.

The 'redirection' webpage is incredibly simple to setup (and can download dozens of free HTML ready-to-go redirector HTML pages which are free).

Doing this means you ALSO have a backup...your current cloud system goes down? An Admin just has to edit the redirection page to point to the backup cloud provider!

xyz123

Never using these scum ever

Another cloud provider I'll be avoiding like the goddamned plague.

Must remember to mention to every single person during my conference speech next week about the URl here so they too can tell this company to crash n burn.

Top VW exec blames car pollution cheatware scandal on 'a couple of software engineers'

xyz123

The defeat device was a mixture of hardware, software and the design and shape of the vehicles.

Because VW is unwilling to admit liability and is instead looking to see if any of their software engineers will take several million dollars in bribes to be the scapegoat, the FULL force of the law should be brought down hard on VW.

The defeat device cost 10s of millions to develop, it involved re-shaping parts of the car to fit the new sensors, training staff to fit the hardware sensors, software beta testing, etc etc.

Physically not possible for two people to design and fit 11 million of these devices without having first got expenses approval for the 10s of millions of dollars to develop the device, 10s of millions to pay chinese companies to BUILD the extra sensors, then he's claiming that the two software engineers (obviously at the speed of superman!) were able to fly in and insert the devices DURING each cars manufacture? THEN fly again at ultra-speeds to the emissions testing areas across the world and 'somehow' unnoticed ensure the devices were working as intended?

This CEO thinks congress is a joke and is laughing behind their backs thinking they're stupid enough to believe anything if it involves 'software' and 'them computer thingies'.

Lenovo stock: The channel iceberg is melting

xyz123

Of course the lack of Lenovo sales has NOTHING to do with the fact that every single device they sell is filled with multiple types of Malware, from basic rootkits to embedded nasties in the BIOS, all designed to send every keystroke, every bank password and every email direct to Bejing.

AMD CEO: We're jumping back into cost-cutting mode

xyz123

AMD executives lying to potential customers can't have helped

Perhaps if executives at AMD didn't promise 'awesome discounts' for people giving up their Geforce 970 cards (promises which turned out to be 100% bullshit lies btw)..and when called on it offered just to send people the URLs for resellers with no actual additional discount for throwing away a perfectly working card, then AMD wouldn't be in the critical cashflow situation it finds itself?
