Surely that's a 'Star Wars' name....
You'll be fine then - they've upped it to 280 I think...
Is it not the case that though it is much harder to buy 'illegal' stuff with money (particularly electronically as traceability etc. It has to come from an account that you 'usually' need to provide ID to open)
The guns argument is a bit of a strawman as most guns that cause death in 'Murica™ are legally owned. It is just the retarded nature that they are allowed to be owned.
It is generally more difficult to get hold of illegal stuff with cash as you have to actually hand it over in person to receive the goods I don't think that major drug purchases are done by post - for a start, the postal cost for a briefcase of money would be pretty high! whereas crypto is just a click of a mouse with zero traceability.
So whilst, not an amazing argument, it is not the 'worst argument ever'
@Boltar - you're a knob!
Gordon Broon: "This is the end of boom and bust politics!"
(Literally just before one of the biggest busts in memory..)
@macjules - Er yeah... Multiplication and division takes precedence over addition and subtractions so 2+3-6 *should* be -1..
"Google has taken many of the things that are nice about the iPhone's operating system and just copied them"
Swipe notifications and pull down settings???
Apple copied those from Android...
So glad my Windows 7 VM apparently *can't* update due to incompatible processor!
Look at a graph of longevity vs BMI...
Those in the overweight category live longer than those in the healthy category..
"Excess deaths associated with underweight, overweight and obesity." That certainly suggests that overweight is bad for you. However, if you look more closely at the paper in Jama, we can find these words: "Overweight was not associated with excess mortality." (My italics). Perhaps more extraordinarily, what the researchers actually found was that those who were overweight lived the longest; they lived longer than those of "normal" weight."
"I got some small portion "low fat" meals from the supermarket and whatever was in them, made me far hungrier after I'd finished it than when I started, I assume they pumped it full of something to replace the fat."
That'll be the sugar in it to replace the fat... Sugar switches off Leptin (the satiety hormone) production
Try over eating pork chops.. Pretty damn hard - then try overeating pasta / rice / any sugar really..
I just bought myself a Minipresso - Makes amazing espresso and, without wanting to sound like an advert, it is pretty cheap
El Reg were banned from Apple events because they mercilessly took the piss out of Steve Jobs for his pronunciation of Jaguar as 'Jagwyre'...
Unfortunately with only a superhub.. I can't change my DNS servers!
Well if eBay were to change their name to NHS then I'm sure they'd be fined! ;)
Well explain how my dad, who doesn't install drivers - knocking on a bit! has got a printer/scanner combo and suddenly the scanner refused to talk to the computer - it would still print fine down the same cable but scanning was totally borked.
Re-installing the drivers fixed it!
Windows does this A LOT!!
I agree - the whole DMIC exercise has been totally ill-thought-through!
DMICs have needed to be 'seconded' into the HSCIC in order to process data legally - all because the s259 exemption was not granted.
DMICs going private in 5..4..3..2.....
It's the only way they're going to.. It's still crap!
No - That'd be a public order offence of which there is already a law to cover....
You are a troll!
Someone is gonna have to prise this hardware out of my cold dead hand (right or left - doesn't matter)!
I have flung this across the room in a hissy fit before and the cover came off and the batteries flew out! Once I'd located the batteries, popped them back in and put the unbroken cover back on. It was working perfectly!
This must rival the Nokia 3310 as the hardest substance known to geek!
I did have troube with VM around the same time as the OP - Phoned them and they admitted there were problems (no details) and refunded me half of my monthly BB fee
Just get a bigger USB socket - No big deal!
Sent from my iPhone 7 on cloud 9
Oh - Correlation has now become causation....
... Only does a full page refresh every 6 pages - this is why the text looks a little less crisp on the 4th and 5th page turn - The latest firmware allows a full refresh (like the Kindle Keyboard) on every page turn.
Fail because fail to read the posts above you!
Bear Grylls anyone?
All of them!
Given the "unusual" nature of the case, officer Walter Colacino Júnior, of Rio Preto's 4th Police District, has decided to probe deeper into the matter before taking any action. ®
That is all!
Cool! - I nominate Ant + Dec as 'Person' of the year!
Don't put something on the internet that you don't want others to see....
Having a separate home partition allows you to do a 'clean-ish' install without losing data. I did this today and it has gone incredibly smoothly - The only issue was dropbox which was resolved by clearing the .dropbox* folders.
I've also reverted to 32-bit and have had no problems as yet.
I thought fair use covered satire which this clearly is.
Oh.. Hold on... Apple are concerned.. They have no sense of humour!
If anyone read the agreement they will realize that they paid an 'Admin' fee - Not even a licence fee.
Here it is.
No-one asked you to read it! - Here's a refund
Typical response from a sociopathic pillock!
So you can connect to a projector for $29 - My Tablet PC can do that for free.
You can upload photos to it for an, as yet, undisclosed sum - My Tablet PC can also do this for free.
Is Safari the only browser you can have?
So WTF is the point of this piece of kit.
Only a retard would buy this.
It would have been detected by the cult of Jobs and the 'heavies' sent round to remind him that he had breached the terms of the Apple religion!
(I'm not a Ballmer fan, but that was kind of cool! - I wonder what Steve Jobs would have done if the roles were reversed?)
are regulated to hell! and are not allowed to get away with half the practices that the likes of Apple and Google are
To get off any computer related charge all I have to do is turn off my antivirus and firewall and leave my windows PC connected overnight to the internet et voila!
Pssst - Someone tell Gary McKinnon!
The NSA have clearly been working with RedHat following the debacle that allows a non root user to install an official repo application without having to type a password..
It is most certainly not a win for common sense. I can see what you are saying. DDoS is a royal pain in the arse but did the attack do any more that annoy an immoral cult? - No offence!
What is halfway between twat and shitter?
12.1 Mega pixels with crappy optics will just mean bigger crappy photos!
Only an idiot would buy a phone based on the camera capabilities!
just give the laptop to Gary McKinnon...
Netbooks are crap... Unless it is a Dell...
At first glance that all looks like common sense.
It was Barclays who were giving away copies of Kaspersky to its internet banking customers.
Sounded like Arnie - Respect the OS or you will get a taste of my Uzi 9 millimetre
Don't tell our new Home Secretary... of this will become mandatory in all mobile communication devices
headline of the year!
