Windows Update failure again

Just had a Windows auto update and after login faced with blackscreen and message device not found, yet again, Outlook hanging. Same procedure, switch off router, reboot then power off, switch router on, then reboot again. Simple. So our thanks to MS for making our lives so exciting, stressful and saving us from having to do real work.

Our David

Bravo, we all wish you well and I am ashamed we didn't have your guts.

I too am totally indignant at Software Houses just arbitrarily taking away purchased programmes and forcing me onto an upgrade or worse a subscription service I didn't seek, need or want.

It's nuts but 'shared' is still shorthand for 'worthless'

Invigorating

Just very occasionally you come across words that resonate. This peel is still ringing around my head. Yes, shared outcomes can be far, far greater than any ones input. My only nagging worry is that the naysayers will drown that precious idea before it gets legs.

Not Hidden by Design

First off, all power lines should be buried.

Second this is an awful bad design. It looks heavy and is very static. Compare it to the narrow V design, at least that had a degree of grace. This is going to impose on the landscape, no matter what colour chosen to 'blend in'. Has anyone with any design skills looked at this!

At least the old pylons were by design airy, light and insubstantial within the landscape.
