FACEBOOK .... bullocks!!

I can sum all of this up with one irrefutable statement:

Facebook is to the Internet, what genital herpes is to the human body.

There is no getting rid of it, it's always lurking in the cells, waiting for an opportunity to infect it's victims with ugly, painful blisters.

Line by line, how the US anti-encryption bill will kill our privacy, security

Diane Frankenstein

That foul cunt looks like the mother of Emperor Palpatine, and the Emperor definitely had more class.

I caught that 'test pilot program' from the Washington Compost the other day, so I entered one of my throw away email accounts and for good measure, when their first spam message came in (as I knew it would), I flagged it as spam. Screw the Washington Post.

James Woods demands $10m from Twitter troll for 'coke addict' claim

TORCH 'EM WOODS!!

As other commenters have observed, libel laws do indeed still exist, and those who would pretend otherwise, or try to make excuses for the illegal online actions of others, need to be severely bitch-slapped until they recover whatever common sense and logic that presumably once resided within their craniums.

I want to see James Woods prevail in this lawsuit, I want that libelous troll 'named and shamed', bankrupted, perhaps even serve some serious jail time for their actions. This isn't any damn "First Amendment" issue, and it's way past time for serious legal retribution to be doled out.

Wait, STOP: Are you installing Windows 10 or RANSOMWARE?

A serious question here ...

Regardless of one's views about Microsoft, the topic of ransomware is one that has always enraged me, not due to the antics of the extortionists who send out this crap, or the mindless victims who will click on anything without thinking, but for the failure of governments to take effective action. What would be effective?

First, use every technological resource (NSA, GCHQ, etc) to track down the culprits (difficult? yes, impossible? no) and then literally execute them after establishing their guilt in a courtroom.

Second? Make it known that ANY individual anywhere on the planet that engages in such data extortion via encryption/ransomware is going to be KILLED. That's right, kill the no-good sons o' b*tches, kill them with extreme prejudice, kill them with a smile on our faces.

Why should they be permitted to continue wasting oxygen? What do they contribute to society?

Kill them.

Net neutrality victory: FCC approves 'open internet' rules in 3-2 vote

JoeKrozac

As a great American (Ronald Reagan) once said "the most frightening words in the English language are 'I'm from the government, and I'm here to help you' ..." and he was right when he said those words and he is still right today. Each and every time the government (ANY government) expands it's control and influence over any aspect of the public (or private) sector, the results are (to put it nicely) "less than optimal". The fact is, the more government is involved in something, the more probable it becomes that the 'something' will end up monumentally fuqked up beyond all recognition.

This power grab by the FCC headed by it's little Nazi Tom Wheeler, directed by the big Nazi (Barky O'bama) has two and only two true objectives: the first: to squeeze more tax revenue out of ISP's, internet services of all varieties, and of course, the end users. The second: control and censorship of political speech on the internet, which is the bane of leftists and liberals all over the planet, especially in the U.S., where the righteous (and justified) fury directed at the impudent little dictator in the White House is a never ending stream of vitriol and the Obamunists want to stop it at any and all costs.

Thomas Jefferson said "when the government fears the people, there is liberty, but when the people fear the government, there is tyranny".

Tyranny has made another major step forward in what was once a free and democratic America.

Look on the bright side Daniele, at least the naughty bits were not showing, nor were they even producing a tell tale nudge or bulge in the crotch of that lovely aqua colored article of clothing.

Would you prefer burlap perhaps? Cheers!

Web daddy Sir Tim Berners-Lee: Back off Putin, I'm no CIA stooge

The fact is, the 'internet' was initially envisioned and created by the whiz kids (and adults) at DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). It was originally funded primarily by Uncle Sam and there is no refuting this. Fortunately for the rest of us, the "Internet" has evolved into a near-artificial intelligence of it's own, not as pliable by the U.S. Government as once hoped. It is in some ways like the monster re-created by Young Dr Frankenstein (Gene Wilder), when Washington said "what are all the people on the Internet DOING?!? TELL us!!", the monster leaped up and said "PUTIN' ON THE RITZ!" (pun intended ;-)

Thanks everyone, I'll be here all weekend, don't forget to tip your server (another intentional pun) and try the veal! :-))

Whomp, there it is: Seagate demos Kinetic disk drive

JoeKrozac

From the article: "Seagate says its fancy drive is getting support from various respectable businesses like AOL"

Oh the jokes just write themselves. AOL?!?! BWHAHAHAA!!!!!!

Painfully trendy: Someone just spent $200k on ebola.com

JoeKrozac

Ebola.Com?

Couldn't they pick something a little classier, like "exploding-bloody-diarrhea.com"?

Or perhaps "projectile-vomiting-bushmeat.net"?

$200,000 they paid? They just proved that old adage "a fool and their money are soon parted".
