Re: Hrm....

EMC and Hitachi are not relevant to the conversation as they can not accomplish a VMware to Hyper-v conversion. NetApp is relevant as they are doing VMDK to VHDX with the Shift Project which does not support SnapProtect(CDP) to my knowledge.

I wouldn't say they suck ass. It is just a design difference when offering cloud services. In most cases companies running in these cloud environments have application redundancy so this really isn't a major problem.
