taste report

http://www.ibabuzz.com/beer/2008/08/06/sampling-a-beer-made-with-45-million-year-old-yeast-fossil-fuels-brewing/

Funny yeast extraction was reported back in 1995 i.e.

RJ Cano, MK Borucki, 'Revival and identification of bacterial spores in 25- to 40-million-year-old Dominican amber', Science 19 May 1995:Vol. 268. no. 5213, pp. 1060 - 1064 DOI: 10.1126/science.7538699

Its only the beer angle that made the news with this new extraction.

BTW You can only get the beer in Northern California according to the company web site.

OLD NEWS

Some of us have seen this pap over 4 months ago, mine you had me wondering for a while. My friends Norton had run out and asked what I thought of this XP antivirus. Not too sure if they paid for it but the Nortons AV was about 14 months old.

Had 7 versions of it running and like above 1500 downloaded malware files.

IBM boxes

I remember them in the 80's 'EMPTY BOX' most of the managers took them but we had one in the media store for about 3 months until someone wrote on it.

Inside was a used condom and the words were "Empty sack".

In another job we had a 21 inch monitor RMA'ed sent back in bubble wrap. It was returned because of those two black lines on the sony tubes so it still worked; looked like it had rolled 200 miles in a empty van DOA.

Turns out AMC bubble wrapped it on one of the depots and the customer just stuck a note on top.

We find out later in the day the customer was a small courier company

56 knifed in london

its about 200 dead in a year in L.A. (Though 2006 was 262 dead) and about 160 in London

However aggravated assault (unlawful attack by one person upon another for the purpose of inflicting severe or aggravated bodily injury) runs at 6000 pa.

If you look at the stats you have a great risk of rape but less chance of being killed in Hollywood.

Population is : 4.2 Million in LA and only 7.2M in Greater London

About 40% of the phones are non-GSM and are locked to the carrier.

But in general the phones are pooh.

One other thing the little red marker inside the phone (wetness) changes too easily in the humid weather over here. SO time to get a pre-paid phone and get a sh!ter phone.
