Microsoft's Project Spartan browser is HERE (unless you build apps or run VMs, that is)

PCS

Spartan will be available from the app store so hopefully it won't be as integrated as IE currently is.

IE will still be available for backwards-compatibility with older sites but it can be uninstalled via "programs / features -> add / remove features".

Despite the numbers the dev's should be aiming for zero vulnerabilities - no matter was the OS is.

No cellphones in cells, you slag! UK.gov moots prison mobe zap law

PCS

Re: Er, prison...

Of course they use bars but given that the walls are at least 30cm thick any signal should be cut right down.

Having spent some time at Her Majesty's Pleasure I know that mobiles are there, inside the cells, but the Prison Officers do use trackers to trace them. When there is a lock-down during normal rec-time you know that somebodies cell is being searched....

As for the Faraday cage idea, not bad. The cell blocks are built from pre-cast concrete so it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate the wiring into the structure.

Why has the Russian economy plunged SO SUDDENLY into the toilet?

PCS

I live in Moscow. Two years ago it was 45 roubles to the £. Two weeks ago it was 106 roubles to the £. Now it has steadied at about 83 roubles to the £.

My girlfriend works for one of the large tourist agencies here: last year at this time they had 70,000 bookings for European summer holidays, this year they only have 1,000. Redundancies are kicking in everywhere, expats are leaving the country (I get paid in £ so am better off now) and Ivan Bloggs is suffering.

But vodka sales are increasing :P
