DOes adorothy know you're playing with the straw man?
Most of PETAs actions are stupid; especially the ones that would be called terrorism if a Muslim did it.
That, and if PETA had their way their founder would be dead (She's Diabetic!)

Lets spend a small fortune on that - duplicating all of those roles that we currently "Share" (or have England pay, depending on who you ask) with the rest of the UK - We're going to need some Ambassadors, and they're going to want pay parity with their english counterparts. Oh, and we'll need a foriegn affairs ministry, and all sorts of other things... Who's going to pay for all of this?
Oh I forgot... The Unlimited supply of oil in the North sea.
What do you mean it isn't unlimited?
This might be arguable if GTA was out in the past few months... Instead it's currently a bargain item awaiting a new installment... But f you want to argue the police are emulating LA Noire, go right ahead.
The bankers seem to be doing a good job of playing railroad tycoon - if you go bust, restart or reload.

If you don't wan't negative Press - don't do anything worthy of Negative Press.
Google deserves scorn for this. If the Patents are phony maybe they should have spent their time and money challenging them, noy trying to buy them.
Given that El Reg isn't on Apples' invite to press confrence list, much less Steve's Christmas card list, I think you're overreacting.
Agreed. The kids today just can't appreciate the pleasure in finding the exact combination of device drivers being loaded (and loaded into UMB) that will suddenly make a game work...
Privateer was a pain in the neck - for some reason to get the thing to work I'd have to DriveSpace my C:, install the game on the rump bit that isn't compresseed, and then in an optional boot mode choose not to load drivespace - if I didn't drivespace the damn drive it wouldn't work for reasons I could never figure out.
As an iPad user, and a student I can say an iPad is a great thing to have, a PDF copy of all the textbooks, assessment guides, readings, etc (thank you OV). A lot lighter and more convenient to carry around, and heck you can even do a little essay writing on it.
But if this guy can't teach without it, then he cannot teach. The iPad is a crutch, an aide; it's not absolutely necessary to teach...
With the figures you've quoted you can't say nokia makes more from basic phones than smartphones. You just can't compare different percentages like that.
Ie
6.2% of 100 is 6.2
16% of 10 is 1.6.
6.2>1.6 even though 16>6.2
Not saying nokia necessarily makes more cash from smartphones than basic phones, just that your figures don't say what you say they do.
To provide every film ever made would likely require a time machine given that I'm sure some films must have been lost to the sands of time... Much like a lot of early episodes of a certain series involving a Doctor.
But other than that I think you're spot On. With the price of storage ever decreasing there is absolutely no technical reason why netflix couldn't offer their entire DVD catalogue via streaming - just legal ones.
