Sweet.
Even clearer porn.
Er, that is what all this technology is for isn't it?

The trouble is that motions like pinch and zoom are so basic to ANY touchscreen that any manufacturer would have to invent and incorporate them.
So for Apple to prove Samsung copied their ideas is a bit like trying to prove one human being copied breathing in and out from another human being.
Christ didn't like organised religions either. The word "church" means gathering of people. The early churches were just that, people gathering together in each other's homes to discuss their shared beliefs. That's where it should have stayed - work out your own salvation with like-minded people.
Actually this is being done in the financial institution I work for, but transferring the functionality of the core account system away from an old but stable solution is a MASSIVE undertaking and will take us several years. You can't just port it, you have to produce a brand new solution that does the same as the old one and takes the same inputs and produces the same outputs. There ISN'T an off-the-shelf new solution that can simply integrate with all our other systems.
And yes, the COBOL coders who look after the existing system aren't getting any younger.
Being 44 next month I remember very well living and working quite happily without any form of mobile phone, smart or not. These days my smartphone is very useful and a tool that complements my life but I USE IT, it doesn't use me - I'm not checking my emails/texts/forums (I don't do twatter etc.) every five seconds.
Smartphones are like so much of modern technology, very useful if you're the master of it, not so good when you're a slave to it.
They were a damm sight easier to do running repairs on.
I remember fixing the breaker points on a Triumph with an elastic band. I remember setting the timing by sticking it in 3rd and rocking to find top dead centre.
Yesterdays: Car's misfiring. Oh look, a split HT lead. I'll swap that. 5 minutes?
Nowadays: Car's msfiring. It's a coil pack. No you have to buy the whole bank. No, you can't get to it without stripping the whole intake off. That's 6 hours labour please.
Car's not running.. Which one of the 2000 sensors is it? Oh aye, it's a crankshaft sensor. That'll be 12 hours labour please as we strip down the engine.
I also have yet to buy an Apple product as I object to paying 50% more for a product that is only 5% better.
And that's a subjective 5%.
I'm not an Apple hater, I just don't see the point. My Samsung smartphone and tablet do everything I need them to do and they were half the price of the equivalent i- offering.
Heh.
Weathertop can get bent.
If I wasn't flexible, intelligent, skilled etc. I wouldnt be a 3rd/4th line Ms, Citrix, VMWare, RSA, Websense, Symantec, I could go on for ever, support, design and implementer for one of the top 5 UK financial institutions.
I still hate Windows 8.
Windows 8 is crap. It's change for change's sake, not to make things better. It is fine on a touchscreen tablet, It's crap on a business desktop.
