Is that Vmware-ese for "UTTERLY BEYOND REDEMPTION"?
Just had to start using it on our new vmware 5.5 farm and while bits of it are ok, some of it is just pointlessly difficult and make tasks take twice as long.
That and the comedy tasks pane. Hilarious.
Working in IT, and to be fair being old, I have an inbuilt distrust of computers as I know that quite often, they are simply not logical.
So even if I were to have set an alarm via a personal assistant app and voice recognition I would HAVE to go into the alarm app and double-check. I doubt I will ever completely trust automata.
Yeah - I get the spam emails about a facebook message waiting for me.
Given that I'm probably the world's biggest social media hater and do not in fact have a facebook account I doubt that very much.
And thank you, but I am neither bald, fat nor impotent. And I doubt again that I really have won a lottery that I haven't bought a ticket for.

My thoughts exactly - like those weeping angel statue things, you could risk the odd look or breath in this case.
TBH the Torchwood and DW writers do seem to like to sledgehammer in these "hey it's great being LBGT!!" constantly. It doesn't bother me apart from I just think "ok, I get it already and it's holding up the ACTION."
Is there such a thing as an "innocent" paedophile? These people create the demand for abuse to occur. By viewing the material they are complicit in the crime. If they REALLY want help they should seek it BEFORE they start trawling the dark net.
My reaction is NOT knee jerk. It is the result of knowing people deeply affected by abuse.

People are generally stupid beyond belief when it comes to this. Don't put anything on social media that you wouldn't be prepared to shout out in a crowded street.
And have some bloody sense. My wife works in a school. She does NOT respond to any of the friend requests that some of the pupils who are on facebook send her. Simple.
My wife's 5 year old Yaris has the centre instrument console where the digital speedo, rev counter etc. are back-projected, you look down slightly to it as per a normal instrument bank but crucially your eyes do not have to refocus and it is not in your line of sight. It works really well and I wish I had it in my own car.
I'm not sure I'd want a HUD display tbh as I don't like things in my line of sight.. Refocusing delay IS important, to me anyway, be a keyboard warrior and call me a commentard if you wish.
As a dad of a bright, engaged 8 year old girl I firmly want her to have the same opportunities as her mindlessly-crazed-at-this-age male classmates. But in the quest for equality we forget that we are DIFFERENT.
Perhaps there are less female CEOs because women generally aren't as interested in power over others as men are? (Yes of course I know there are exceptions.)
Back in the 90s I worked for a large IT provider, took a trip to Scotland to review a bid from a little group of young blokes who wanted our clout and money from a certain chap who would later become a Dragon for their project.
They wanted to use pressure sensors and Citrix to let your fridge monitor its contents and automatically order your milk when it ran out.
The collective response unfortunately was 'meh'.
Bit like now really.
