IBM Cloud TITSUP: Techies investigate troubling storage underperformance

rotmos

The same problem in AMS01, AMS03, FRA02, FRA04 and MIL01. Which looks like different availability zones (or whatever IBM calls it) and regions. So it is impossible to build a highly available system with IBM cloud.

Who are their main customers, hobbyists?

IBM gives Services staff until 2019 to get agile

rotmos

They probably need to go through some mandatory really boring videos, answer some stupid questions and voila, they are agile! And get a silly badge labelled "Agile practioner" which they can publish on LinkedIn.

rotmos

Fail-fast, again and again.

IBM lifts its 22-quarter shrinking sales curse: Finally, a whole 1% uptick

rotmos

In the result "Cloud" is mentioned twice as "Cloud revenues" and "Cloud Platforms" (lumped together with "Technology Services" for some reason). But "Cloud" is also a part of "Strategic Imperatives", right?

IBM. Sigh. Revenues. Sigh. Down. Sigh. For the 20th quarter in a row

rotmos

Re: what's the date today?

Better way:

Get wallet out

Find real money

Give real money to shop assistant

Get real money (change) back (if applicable)

Put real money (change) in wallet (if applicable)

Done

Apple, Google, NSA, Visa etc safe. No one knows what, where and when you have shopped (except the shop assistant who has forgotten you the same second the money has been received).
