Unhappy

I don'treally care about GNOME any more...

There is no way I can use a POS like Gnome for daily use. The designers have decided that their way is the ONLY way. And they continue to build complex programs with little testing.(I have found bugs, reported them and nothing happened.) so the new gnome is just more

Java evangelist leaves Oracle to save Java

channel extended

The real problem...

Is that Java is owned. Once a language becomes owned, the lawyers protect it to death. Corporations know only one thing about software - "Mine, Mine, Mine, Mi... ". Having watched languages change for over fourty years I can see how they grow AND die. If Java does die it will be only because we stop using it. So if you are concerned

Abuse...

More abuse of stats by a marketing dweeb. The average by it self means almost nothing. To truly get good information you need to know the average, the mean, and the mode. This article could just as easily said that Windows dev's make less per capita, due to the relative size of the various markets.

Adobe default is...

The default task for Adobe is to patch. I really don't like sites that insist on down loading a video I didn't want and to add insult, auto-playing. It seems that most of these boobs use Adobe for their vid's. So an article that tells me to patch thing like Adobe is really aimed at people with less than 100 IQ. Or those addicted to randomly clicking on web sites.
