Hacker House shoved under UK Parliament's spotlight following Boris Johnson funding allegs

Black Helicopters

Re: "an offshore company"

According to Companies House the registered office was changed yesterday from 9 Bollin Mews Prestbury Macclesfield SK10 4DP England to 107-111 Fleet Street London EC4A 2AB. I'm guessing journalists were turning up to sleepy-looking 9 Bollin Mews. 107 Fleet St is probably a law firm. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09678695/filing-history

How long does it take an NHS doctor to turn on a computer?

And your point is?

Next up the consultant who thought the cd-rom caddy was a coffee cup holder.

Not sure I am getting the point of this story that happened a number of years ago and could equally be applied to a whole range of hard-pressed professionals for whom IT is an enabler not an end in itself.

Flaky Flickr's pic upload faulty for weeks, fume fed-up photographers

Thanks for the update

I struggled with upload problems in August. I even pasted http headers identifying the non-responsive servers and so on I haven't tried since so I guess still not worth it. (Unfotunately I am a paying customer and in UK and on Linux, which apparently is not supported, not even using Firefox.)

Oxford Uni unearths 800-year-old document to seize domain names

European Arab Business & Fellowship thing

"As things stand, the websites are still up, but they will shortly be handed over to the University of Oxford, which will presumably add them to the long list of domain names it holds and does nothing with in an effort to stop people profiting from its name."

Can't really see a problem with that.

I also note that the same outfit runs http://www.eu-arabstates.co.uk/

Presumably when they've finished with Greece, the EU can raise a case with WIPO...

Yep, the under-30s know what's trending on FB whereas the over-40s know what's trending on Gartner... (and possibly just as worthless).
