Re: Won't be able to post hate comments
Freedom of speech doesn't mean private colleges can't decide not to pay someone thousands of dollars to give a speech.
Since you made the claim, why don't you post the name of a conservative speaker who was dismissed from speaking at a college, or violently demonstrated against, so we can dissect his background and see if he ever advocated hate.
According to Wikipedia, Ohio has a half dozen legal casinos open right now and building another half dozen by 2014, each with what looks like 1200-3000 video slot machines. I applaud the legislature's willingness to take a stand against the evils of gambling that doesn't line their own pockets.
After all, legal casinos wouldn't be willing to exploit people who have gambling problems, right? And I'm sure the state didn't just slash funding to programs to assist people with addiction problems, as was probably mandated in the original proposal to legalize gambling?
I swear you see it in one state after another; it would be a farce if it wasn't reality.
Hello I am the government here to tell you not to have back doors in systems because that is insecure.
Now I will pass some laws saying everything must have a back door so I can keep track of everything because of the terrorism. But this time Don't Tell The Media at least until I make laws banning third party security consultants and media disclosure.
"Jason and the Argonauts" is one of the finest epic films ever produced. I will forever remember the first time I watched it, in 1994 on VHS, at my 10th birthday party with a few of my best friends from elementary school. Since then I've probably seen dozens of other examples of undead skeletons in movies and games, but Harryhausen's stop motion brings an unearthly menace to HIS skeleton scene that, for all the intervening years, media such as "Skyrim" can only wish it had. He was not only a special effects man, but an artist, who showed that stop-motion could be an art and not just an obsolete technology.
I have one of the original model blueberry flavoured iBooks in my office as a funny little piece of history. It still works fine for all the things you miss from 2000AD like Flash-free internet, Escape Velocity, and 800x600. Like a hipster I use the built in carry handle to take it to local coffee shops that you've probably never heard of.
