Tagless T-Shirts

I don't think anyone has mentioned Haynes Tagless (Comfort Blend) T-shirts. No tags and really comfortable. Also tagless undershorts.

Cybercrim told to cough up £1m or spend years in chokey

"The money will go back into policing and the criminal justice system, helping us continue to put people like Oshodi before the courts."

Of course, if he pays it back, none of it will be returned to the crime victims. That almost never happens. The plods have to get their cut, don't ya know. The victim can just go live on the street.

EULAs on other, non-OS software

Article recommends not breaking the seal on software and returning disks. And how does he expect the user to read the EULA before you start the install ?? X-Ray vision and the super ability to read data directly from the disks while still in the package, perhaps?

Help for Dark Places.

Being a certified 'old fart', one of the things I learned some years back was to always carry a keychain flashlight. With the current LED technology, it's small, bright and useful in many ways, not the least of which is searching out that connection on the back of the PC under the desk. Also has in the past been useful in just the situation you found yourself in.

Asus Transformer Book T100: Xbox One? PS4? Nah, get a cute convertible for Christmas

Are you sure there's not a secondary battery in the dock? The ASUS TF101, which seems to use a similar hardware arrangement, does have a secondary battery.

Then there are the sites (mostly politically conservative) that allow 'anonymous guests' to upcheck, but require you to register and give up anonymity to downcheck. You wouldn't think that this would skew the statistics.....

Would You ?

British bookworms deem Amazon 'evil'

Device lock in ?? Somebody is confused.. I've been reading kindle ebooks both on my netbook (windows XP) and my Android tablet for quite some time. Kindle apps are available for almost any platform and have been for some time. One of the good things I'm finding about Amazon is the availability of some really good authors at low prices that never make it into print media. That, and the fact that on this side of the pond, e-books seem noticeably less expensive than the same book in print. Early on availability of ebook versions of best selling authors were few and far between, that situation has improved greatly.

Google Maps OWNS your android device

I was a happy google maps user on my tablet until the latest update. When I looked at the 'permissions' wanted by the app, I deleted it entirely. It wants to own your device. I don't appreciate that and will find something else or do without.
