Microsoft: Even cheapo Lumias to get slimmed down Windows 10

Too little...too late. Microsoft is like a puppy...constantly chasing after a juicy bone, in any direction. I love my 1020, ok so it's not the fastest but fantastic camera and hardware. But what is the point of a shiny new operating system without apps to install on it? Without the apps I don't care how good the system is! Dropped the ball again MS.

Can't save defined numbers?

Got it all set up easily until it came to inputting numbers to be used to send texts from if phone is lost or stolen. I can input the numbers ok but see nowhere to hit save? Very odd.

The move is easy!

I moved from TT to BT fibre last September. Didn't have to contact TT at all, BT did it all for me. Spent a few minutes on the BT site putting in my order and a month later the engineer was out to fit the modem. One of the easiest transactions I have ever made.

TT did contact me to ask why I was leaving and to try and persuade me to say. When I explained about the crap service, the almost daily breakdowns and how I always knew when TT had signed up new customers in my area cause my speed dropped like a stone the nice young lady gave up! I'm sure she had heard it all before.

Stop your whining...

So FF release cycle will stop business using it? I work for Seagate, guess which browser Seagate recommends for work? Of course the version used in work is not the latest, has to be tested first which is the same for all software but if Seagate are happy with FF then there is no reason for other business's not to be the same.

I'm on the beta channel on my home machine, now on FF9 and apart from the very occasional few seconds freeze I'm a very happy user. Three groups of tabs with the biggest group having around fifteen tabs open at any one time. All my add ons work with add on compatibility unchecked.

I also run the latest FF in Linux Mint within a VM on the same box. Absolutely no problems whatsoever.

And I agree with the earlier comment about Chrome being bundled with virtually every piece of software nowadays. That verges on spyware in my opinion. If FF did the same all you whiners would be complaining about that as well!
