DARE YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT APPLE?

Here we go again, say anything against Apple and you get down voted.

Imagine the censorship if Apple ran the world, it would be 1984 but ten times worse.

The worst part is that generally there is a legitimate point to be made.... But noooooooooooooo, how dare anyone say anything about Apple.

Bunch of narrow minded, closeted pilchards.

OOOOOOOH

They won't like this one bit will they, not one bit, especially as they had said the older phones where not good enough to run it.

Watch out for a 'I'm going to sue you' for this patent case.

Two weeks from now they bring out an update to block it!

Foxconn beefs up iPhone output to 400k units a day

LarsG

ACTUALLY

IT costs less than £100 to manufacture deliver and market and develop the iPhone 4s. In fact with so many sales the cost is now in the region in £60 per unit, which is decreasing day by day.

In fact by year two the over all unit cost could be as low as a tenner!

For all of you out there who will dispute this, mainly Apple fanbois who want to justify the high price you paid for it, these facts are readily available.

Apple land-grabs fuel cells for mobiles

LarsG

NOT IF

They file in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything with Apple is accepted.

2

LarsG

IF FILED WITHIN THE USA

It will of course be granted.

Next patent application by apple 'beam me up Scotty'. Particle transportation between two iphone 69s that allow the transportation of the human body for communication purposes.

Filed in the USA it will of course be granted.

But what about a phone the can heat a hotdog?,

Yes Apple was granted that one and the patent on hotdogs..... Where?

In the USA of course where all the legislators have brand new...... Wait for it..... Iphones and ipads.

Long live the American Empire.

LarsG

NO MALICE....

We are so reliant on tech that I'm sure some people would think the world was about to end.

Look what happened when the blackberry servers went down and to a lesser extent when Apple owners and Android owners had to 'wait for their updates.

It would put things into perspective.

Lincolnshire cops to chuck £200m at G4S in ICT deal

LarsG

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO......

waste tax payers money.

In six months to a year they will be back cap in hand asking for more money because of cost over runs and the fact that they deliberately bid too low.

I also wonder if the bidding process is on the lines of what used to happen in the public building sector.

The bidding firms all have a nice chat with each other then each takes their turn of a project. The others deliberately bid too high so G4S get the project. Next time round it will be another firms turn to 'win' by the same process.

Keeps the bids all in house and excludes other businesses from bidding including small businesses that 'would be offered the chance of bidding for' government contracts which was stated by the present government.

Obviously not and it smells bad.

ISP ordered to drop 'three strikes' rule against pirates

LarsG

EVEN IF

The terms and conditions state that the ISP has the right to pass on your details to these vultures we all still have a fundamental right to privacy and freedom under the ECHR.

The freedoms stand above everything. Passing you details on is a breach of your privacy, cutting off your internet or putting restrictions on what you can see or search for is a breach of freedom especially considering the importance on the internet in todays society.

When will the class action against the vultures start because there is a case. Sue the record industry for curtailing your rights.

Maybe a law firm will be brave enough.

Software bug fingered as cause of Aussie A330 plunge

LarsG

ACTUALLY... TRUE.

Airbus crash at French airshow, crash in Austrian Mountains, crash Russia, Crash China, Crash Nepal.

Over complexity, and pilots attempting to avert disaster tried emergency maneuvers which the aircraft computers deemed outside the flight envelope and refused to allow. The aircraft would probably have survived the move.

An over ride system was then installed.

As to the pan call, I've used it once, it means 'this is bad but I'm not about to die yet'. Mayday means 'scrape what's left of me up'

Yes I had a significant fuel leak.

Passengers for their injuries then make it compulsory to wear a seat belt at all times instead of making it advisory.

There is a history of computer problems with airbus, from the pilot not being able to overide the controls that would have prevented a crash (the computer knew better) to spurious flight controls and numerous glitches. Read up on the history of airbus crashed and the words over complexity come to mind.

May be they are trying to mitigate the compensation, the word AR*E comes to mind.

Apple wins skirmish in HTC-Google patent war

LarsG

YOU MISS THE POINT

EU protectionism does not count as the phones are not made but only sold there.

So this decision was probably made as a result of fear that the US might start up a trade war such as taxing EU goods even more than they do now.

However, US firms filing in the US have a distinct advantage, just like the disadvantage British boxers enjoy having to fight US boxers in the USA.

They cheat to win

New account of Flight 447 disaster published

LarsG

Not all flight crew are equal...

Publishes book on the technical aspects of air disasters.

As technology advances it takes responsibility away from the pilots, the computer flies 98% of the route because it is more fuel efficient and cost effective. As a result pilot skills decline.

There are some advocates of pilotless airliners. Computers cannot think outside the box.

Remember, some pilots are naturals and others have to work to their limits to fly, they are not all equals.

I prefer to fly with the naturals, they make it look easy, not the adequate.

A pilot
