BlackBerry services splutter back into action, again

Technically they don't have to provide any sort of SLA to there customers, atleast standard consumers. Businesses may be different. You guys need to remember that the Blackberry by its very nature is a business device and has only really become main stream in the past couple of years.

So what they lost there servers for a few days. I can't remember it ever happening before which aint bad considering how long they have been around. Give them a break jeez!

BlackBerry users back online after outage

Thumb Up

Being a blackberry user myself I wasn't to upset about it in all honesty. Its very rare RIM have any problems with there services. Being down for 12 hours after having my device for 2 years didn't bother me. Its like all things, eventually they fail. Its nobodies fault.

Virus infects killer US air drone fleet

WTF?

Does anyone else have the concern that if the US military is having issues with this thing that common end user machines will have one hell of a battle on there hands? I have faith in my home security however this is worrying, especially if its some kind of super bug.

Apple outs iPhone micro USB adaptor

Apple is merely answering the call of its customers. Incase you didn't read the article properly it was requested. Yes OK MAYBE the thing should have been included to begin with. The point is however at least Apple listen to there consumer base. When was the last time you heard Samsung or Nokia bring out a product simply because consumers requested it. I certainly can't think of one.

We moan if they do, we moan if we don't. Its a never ending vicious circle.

Ten reasons why you shouldn't buy an iPhone 5

Tubby21288

I'm sorry but before I take this seriously i'll wait and see what APPLE have to say about it. Where did you get this information from because I'm willing to bet it wasn't Apple. I like giving Apple stick as much as the next average Microsoft Joe however saying it won't have this or won't have that when you know NOTHING about its technical specifications is just stupid.

How stupid are you going to look if Apple come back and say that some of these features are actually available?

Sony: all new PS3 titles will require PSN Pass for online play

Tubby21288
WTF?

The way I see it guys. If you buy the game with no intention of selling it on this won't affect you. Infact the ONLY way it will affect you is if you buy a second hand game. Personally I tend not todo such things so Sony can do what they like. It's not as if your paying to use the PSN to begin with or in any sort of legal binding with Sony that states "They must provide the service free forever'.

The solution is simple. To avoid this charge, don't buy second hand games. You and I both know that eventually Microsoft, Nintendo etc will all adopt the same stance (if they have not already).

Tubby21288

I can't really see a problem with this. It happens all the time with PC games that are bought second hand. Some require you to register the keys, and if thats done nobody else can play the game online even with a valid key because its already registered to somebody else. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Mac malware uses Windows-style PDF camouflage ruse

Tubby21288

In my experience Mac users are dumb enough to the point it amazes me they even know how to turn them on. For example that 'Mac Defender' thing that went around. Don't you think if Apple had released some new software, particularly something like security software they would have made a big deal to make sure they got max sales out of it? It would make sense as security is a big thing these days.

I have a friend who works on Apples Tech support in Newcastle and he said that the amount of calls they got from people about that was unreal. People actually thought Apple was responsible and actually expected Apple to compensate them for THEIR stupid mistake.

1 word comes to mind - IDIOTS!

'iPhone 4 to be free' when new iPhones ship

Mushroom

*Hopefully* Apple have learned from the iPhone 4 and tested the new ones extensively to make sure they have no issues. I like Apple's products and would love an iPhone however until they get there act together I won't be buying one.
