Not sure if this is good or not.
Considering the somewhat blunted nature of Ubuntu and Dell for that matter it's something I hope people find them useful.

It's possible either US-CERT or Symantec are wrong the following from isc.sans update of earlier diary.
"We have received a report that exploits are now working for Vista, XP, IE6, IE7, and Safari 3.0 on Windows. Keep in mind that other attack vectors may be vulnerable as well."
As well as firefox.
if so maybe thats why MS would want to patch it.
their login password, and user name, and stop sending them in plain text over Tor. The kind of information you could have gotten using his method was potentially damaging. He did some countries a great service by outing this problem, but they won't aid him now the people who were spying on them, strike back at him. I knew they wouldn't, governments are always the same, they never want to admit they screwed up security wise, so helping them is dangerous and completely thankless.Best to just ignore it, and mind your own business. Why did he have so many PS2?
to put on all the sites we control, a little SEO magic some mutual linking, and next thing you know every Google result for "Prince" is a picture of him he doesn't like. It has to be a good one though Perhaps a picture of him taking a lick off that cup, or the goatse guy.
I hear what your saying,
it's kind of funny though because I felt confident of using Intel only cpus motherboards etc because I knew unlike what some people say Intel goes to great lengths to support Linux. I don't know about AMD but Intel and Linux are good friends. In the past though a lot of AMD supporters were also Linux users shit changes. To tell the truth if it works and it's a better value I am a whore.
Blogs are for real actually held opinions which is not what this is about at all companies have been engaging in this hearts and minds campaign approach in the dead tree space for a very long time. There is no difference between this and some damage control on an oped page of a major newspaper. However either way it's mostly bogus you will notice that neither side makes any legally damaging statements that would be almost impossible if this weren't carefully controlled hype. Do the lawyers cringe no they had to approve every line.
I wouldn't be so quick to test how much their immunity is worth I'm not saying their wrong but being arrogant to a court in this or pretty much any country I have ever heard of can get you made an exception to legal precedent (or get laws changed). I would hate to see this immunity go away because facebook sent dirty texts I have also heard of stranger things happening.
A friend of mine was sitting looking out his apartment window about eye level with a transformer on a pole when the squirrel bit and was turned to a fire ball then the power went out he was kind of shocked by it but the kids thought it was cool he didn't say what happened next I take it their wasn't too much left to burn. The squirrels motto "live fast die young and leave a flat patch of fur on the highway" probably ought to include self incineration some way.
I missed due to confusion and indifference . Go! Me. I still don't understand what it's for but now it's owned by people who's claim to fame is making software that can bring a quad core dual processor machine with 8G of memory and 15000 rpm scsi disks to a death crawl when copying a 2M file to another directory and can't make said machine emulate an old smith-corona convincingly, so yes I assume it's well and truly dead so long myface I hardly knew ye (really).
I checked the York minibio page they have pictures of the execs no outward signs of tertiary syphilis or psychosis but you can do a lot with photoshop what possible use could anyone have for this old down at the heels hopelessly bit rotted code pile.Oh well several born every minute.Maybe Ballmer could buy it this sounds like his sort of deal.
don't change OS's if you don't have a crying need not if it works basically you get the best fit of hardware to kernel and freeze it there if you get a new computer you go back and get the latest otherwise your wasting time and going to have all kinds of problems. Stop playing with your OS and get to work.
Ballmer just shows what has always been MS lack of foresight late to the Internet the only thing they care about is exploiting their stranglehold on consumer and office desktops. It would never occur to them to curry market for their hosted applications by fostering wider coverage and competition in wireless pricing.
like Andrew knows very little and pulled numbers out of his ass sorry but thats the way he sounds . Other than that good show Ashlee
I probably will now have to buy your book. Let everyone know if your going to go on Open Season you better have done all your homework and be ready to share because otherwise you just sound stupid.
A couple of days ago I was buzzed by a CH-47 Chinook at treetop and didn't feel a thing on the ground didn't really blow any dust up the trees waved in the breeze and I could see the Pilot just fine so I find this whole story a bit hard to believe. If you see something you like it's hard not to take a closer look(or damn near impossible in some cases).
There have been many stories of people with no appreciable brain matter a residue on the insides of their heads caused by fluid buildup the fact is they continued to function some in responsible roles in government. The fact is we don't need all the intellectual capacity we have all races have roughly similar brain sizes and none of them use all of it in this area genetics is useless because you can survive to child baring years with much less brain power than any modern human has so there is no evolutionary advantage to weed anyone out so genetics doesn't apply here. Watson fails to see this as he is a researcher in the field of genetics and the last thing he wants is to be irrelevant which in this particular case he is.
on this story. It's been known and said for years kids don't matter they aren't going to die from the salt it's people over forty that are going to keel kids can live with high blood pressure for a long time without damage me I could die tomorrow if your one of those poor souls who waited till your forties to have kids don't clean their plates you won't get to see them reach their tenth birthday and it's not them that is going anywhere.
This article has no validity shipping is very efficient as is so whats the point of bothering about it the only low hanging fruit that I know of is the personal auto everything else has a reason everything else is required until you take most of the personal single occupant vehicles off the road you aren't doing anything significant.
of these businesses is pretty thick I agree the guys a weasel but what he did shouldn't be illegal since when do you have the right to things you didn't pay for most domain registrars will give you a long list of misspellings and similar names to get when you sign up for one if your worried about it one or two letters off and suddenly you get it for free hows that work.
Nothing to do with this story i don't guess but when I ran my mouse over the ms ad the title read "gratuitous monkey skull" which is the alt/title from my own sites bottom graphic and I haven't gone there this session fire fox maybe needs some work or perhaps it's a feature.
how much better Yahoo with panama is but I think price might be part of the issue last I heard people were getting less for more with the Goog and were threatening mutiny mostly medium sized mostly web based businesses where they can link sales to advertising very easily. It's such a slippery topic though how much is Google and how much is web md's television advertising.
to bring this up but WTF apparently in the US they are deciding whether to block imports of the top hdd manufacturers because of a patent being used without permission in the fabrication process anyway the one thats not being mentioned is Hitachi and all I have seen for the last couple of days are Hitachi commercials if they do block Seagate Western Digital it might mean cheap hdd
s for all outside the USA. I didn't make this up it's been in Ars Technica and on the USITC site.
You have to be willing to do some work in the security world bad guys fight dirty and cheap hosts hire as few and as cheaply as possible so having more than one site is a must mirroring software can help so can doing a little research on who is the most reluctant to pull a site. I looked around for a while and found several not bullet proof but just really stubborn hosts in the US I don't have a clue about the UK but there must be someone with some balls.
Its been out a while how are people finding the games now I wonder are they still engaging or have they become annoying. Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean I am allowing them off the hook as far as games are concerned I remember very well their glory days and I hold them to it.
I have Google in once a week and Yahoo every couple of days and even that bot that classifies sites for workplace blocking once but never in my logs have I had msnbot so I don't even worry about blocking it.Ballmer is a weird guy all that drooling and perspiring it isn't normal maybe they should think about not letting him out of his office so much.
