"Rivals may feel Microsoft Microsoft has thumbed through its playbook of moves dedicated to making sure its own services behave beautifully under Windows"

And whats wrong with that, if i had a windows phone....

Um... isnt that what Apple always does;

I have given up trying to get a iphone working without using itunes, apple tv - without itunes, mums ipad calendar and email sync without 3rd party apps, connecting an apple screen to a non apple device.....

WTF?

Give up

I am seriously thinking to just dump all this social network lark, I only use it to keep up with people who I actually know and talk to, I am not a friend hawk and am proud to say I have 70 something people as friends (i got to 200 and though, this is bulsh*t, delete, delete, delete - amazingly there people who i actually see/speak to/ know! (I know you, your friend of a friend of a friend ... or yer i met you once 2 years ago - add me!)

FB, too many updates, at least give us the option to stick with the old visuals and you can still have you advanced backends.

Let things be, I don't want a time line, I don't want to be forced into sharing things, I don't want to be forced into having to administrate something in my own time, I don't want to know about someone bloody cats or baby pictures no matter how many times i select 'don't show me.....'

What if I don't want FB or the world to have a picture someone I know uploaded of me, I cant do much about it.

Still, daily, people don't realise that when you hit that upload button that content is no longer yours.

You are being a free ant in paid for work colony

Anyone ever seen the film Surrogates, I feel the time of younger and younger generations loosing the grasp on real socialising is falling.

Why cant 'social' networks connect, if that cant that not very social!

it would bring some competition into the area...

have Google's send a message to Facebook, Let some of the private social networks share images with the users friends on FB and Google.

ARRRHHHH!

The social network that is anything but social - if you not on it I cant add you as a friend thus I am not interested in you.

In England we refer to it as the London terror bombing.

We don't use/associate what people call 7/7 with England, its an American thing, not British.

Apps.

If anyone trys to sell me a phone and mentions the words apps they would get a wet fish slap.

I think 99% of apps are stupid and useless - just time wasting or a fad.

1% of apps are sweeeeeet and I would love just to give a little click and use them on my laptop or desktop.

Isn't this a variant of the adobe air type thing. cross platform applications that are small to run or even can be run from the web?

(god i hate adobe, just starting to remove all air/reader/flash programs and go for open source, there to big, clunky and always need updating)

Rant

I still cant find any real/actual information on why office 2010 is better then 2003. 2003 takes 2 or 3 seconds at max to loads, 2007 and 2010 takes 10 seconds.

ok we are on about seconds but in this world where we have the most powerful machines of all times i bet my old win3.5 with mono screen laptop boots and loads office(equivalent) quicker

With the ribbon, why cant i drag and drop sections about and have a simple button to reset it on the main file menu. Who do MS ask for input into there new products, themselves!!!?

cant i just have something that runs allot smoother but without all the add on crap a 'normal' person using wants, say i just want to write a standard doc, abit of colour text, bullet points different fonts and i may splash out an put a picture in

finally what is with the default paper size, i have bought a Uk product, give me A4 not dam Letter and why do they think i need a 2.5cm border - waste - wak it down to 1cm all round thank you!

Size/Profiel

Ok things are getting smaller. take a look at the first image above, its look to patrude a good couple of mm up from the base of the head, the middle image looks slightly flatter and the final *new* image looks the the screw head is only about 1or2mm deep, thus smaller gadgets need smaller componants. small compoanants needs small things to hold them together.

its ok making things small, but you gota make them tuff.. perhaps a torx head isnt as strong once you start to machine the head thinner....? thus a redesign of a stronger design is needed.

But yeh, they wana stop you opening up there 'majic box'!

so are they saying that everyone else (banks, councils, hospitals) are destorying there data in correctly..unsafely,,,.. When i worked for the NHS we paid £50 a unit for the HDD to be shredded and the machines recyled - why cant they jsut do that....?

Android Market shows hand at 100k Apps

patrick_bateman

300K apps

I said ths to someone the other day and they couldnt answer me. Sell me this oh so great phone without mentioning apps......

wow the iphony has 275K off apps that just replicate what the others do and if your thick enough to need an app that reminds you of your period or car park reminder is i guess there is just no hope for some people. Android actually have apps that you can use daily and not for thick'os - and at the end fo the day if you cant find a app you can just make one yourself.
