I always wondered what was going to stop people quitting their jobs and decreasing the government's tax intake when UBI rises. Get close to someone's wage and why work when you can earn the same at home?
I like this idea, but it seems like it wouldn't work in any circumstances. Plus we'd all need ID cards to prevent fraud for this.
Downvote away...Just look at your female friends and the jobs they do, or better yet ask them why they won't do these jobs. Personal friends include: Avon Lady, Supermarket checkout worker, housewife (multiple), Shop assistant, Uni student, hairdresser (x2), and that's the majority. If you notice a lot of these are part-time or flexible hours for family time.
You can't get an exact matching diversity in every job. It doesn't happen because people have minds and personalities. (generally) Men work for money, women work for home/life balance. Even paying women £10,000 each to go into STEM fields has failed, and that's a blatanlty discriminatory bung.
"The Silicon Valley giant's latest diversity report, out this week, shows efforts to integrate women and underrepresented ethnic groups – ie, not white or Asian – are stalling"
This isn't surprising. Most women don't want to work in tech. (Lucky I don't work for Google or that would get me fired) They largely go for hairdressing and beauty, reception and book keeping work, nursing, teaching, etc.
Eventually the left pushing this agenda will have to admit that you can't force people into jobs they don't want. Even with the barriers removed some people will never do this. Most men won't go into hairdressing and beauty jobs, women won't go into the construction trade or tech.
This is only seen as a problem when it's the women underrepresented though. Fuck the men...
I only watch it for Doctor Who, and i could just buy BluRays instead for ~£30 a year instead. That's much cheaper and i'll OWN the content after.
Plus, with the recent SJW agenda shitstuffing i'll likely end up abandoning the show anyway if it continues.
I'm gay and Jack Harkness was a great bisexual character. Bill was a terrible gay character. If your character has to remind everyone they're gay EVERY episode then something is seriously wrong.
Try being LGBT. Then it became LGBTI...Then LGBTIA...
I think they've managed to expand it so much now most people don't know what it is and some of the letters are just made up... LGBTQQIAADGDVLA
I've been poisoned by so much SJW shite that i know what all those letters are (Except for the DVLA bit which is clearly a joke)
For anyone not aware, about 8 of those letters are duplicates from people who "don't want to be labelled" (as bisexual) but insist on labelling themselves as something with an almost identical definition...
Isn't this already Google's job? To rid the world of free speech, push social justice warrior values, and hound people with opposing views off the internet instead of making a decent counterargument (and make their personal lives a living hell, paint them as bigots too, etc).
I despair at how (some) millenials are creating a 1984 world with this shite.
The best accomplishment we have managed is freedom of speech and the free exchange of ideas. Remember what happened when the BNP controlled a council and advertised their values more broadly. They collapsed, their support dried up, and now >10 years later they don't exist.
Don't silence your opponents, counter with a more valid/reasonable argument.
