1. People have lost track of all the different varieties of OS's. The don't want to go educate themselves on the fine difference between them. What if they invest and make a bad decision?

2. They don't want to go look for drivers to do every little mundane task. It takes too much time and makes everything doubly difficult.

3. Linux doesn't have as many options available once you do have it installed.

NO REALISTIC

Who can humanly keep track of all the passwords needed in todays world? It's not realistic to use password security because of ALL the MOUNTAINS of passwords that are needed. Not even the human brain can keep track of it all. I know I use as little passwords as necessary...it's just not realistic to think people are going to create new 8 character obscure passwords for every little task in their lives.

Been well known

This has been well known and talked about in our circle for a long time. We just came to the conclusion that apple does this to keep you buying in every couple of years. We give apple products a lifespan of two years. Then it's upgrade time. I use my iPhone for three, but it gets pretty slow after that.

I've known apple

I've been using apples since '97. I have always known apple. Been familiar with apple products. With the way they do things. I have always felt comfortable with apple. I honestly have no clue what apple is doing here. It feels totally unfamiliar and altogether wrong. The whole thing feels very microsoft to me. It's bizarre.

I really don't like

The new apple. I have been using apple since 98...that's 98. I have been through all iterations of apple since Jobs was reinstated. The new iTunes is a PITA! I still haven't figured it out. I hate being spied on all the time, and they are obviously working the end user for the extra coin. They could standardize their power adapters...but don't. They are constantly forcing you to upgrade and change with little to no legacy support. It's all about forcing you to buy in. The only thing stopping me from going windows is that windows is WORSE. i can't get crap done on a windows machine. I spend all my time trying to "fix it" to work. Some one with some brains AND common sense really needs to save humanity with a NEW OS! You would make a mint and take over the world.
