Common courtesy

No matter how angry you are, no matter how much you've been messed about other times, when you call a support line asking for help, you treat that person with the common courtesy which they deserve.

Office 97 was pretty much all you needed if you "had" to buy MS. Everything else since then, most users don't care about.

More reasons to not leave the house.

I have a PoE outdoor cam pointed at my drive from the front door. It's on my internal network and I have a phone app which connects to the camera and shows me who rang my ordinary doorbell. I use my brain to decide whether I take action or not.

FAIL

Welcome to the wild west of crypto.

XVG prices were soaring recently due to rumour of a partnership with a major retailer. They've kept a large part of that value despite a major programming flaw which was then corrected and effectively hard forked their codebase. Which was subsequently put back the way it was and users were told it would be fixed after the developers had slept...doesn't sound like the sort of blockchain technology I'd be backing.

I went to bed thinking I could do with watching 2001 and 2010 again as it has been so long. Then I wake up to this article... these kinds of coincidences happen often in my life. Happy to hear any explanations. I'm sure I've not read about 2001 anywhere else recently.

My experience of this with the old dock and with various flavours of tablet/2 in 1 recently is that I carry a bag full of dongles and adapters. It's a great idea that is crying out for peripheral (mainly display) standards.

The comment around having a terminal session available to do other stuff is also relevant. But I personally believe that Android will eventually replace Windows as a business OS and that will change. No preference for either but Windows as a Service...is currently painful.

Amazon's Netflix-gnasher to hit top gear In December

So I bought a new house last year, got lots of CAT6 cabling throughout, didn't bother with a satellite dish and got fibre, netflix, already had amazon prime and a NowTV entertainment subscription. Saved me a fortune and I'm yet to find some content that I've not been able to watch, in my own time, with very few adverts and the whole family can stream anything they want to whichever room they happen to be in at the time. Microsoft: We're hiking UK cloud prices 22%. Stop whining – it's the Brexit

Re: Work the problem?

The thumbs up and down look like the vote results... :D

mix

My point was rather than a collective responsibility for the vote and its repercussions, many are happy to point at and blame the leave voters for every doom-mongering brexit story. We had a split vote, and we now have a split society when at this time, we should be rallying around each other more than ever.

Blaming someone never solved a problem. (Awaits exception to the rule.) :D

Go

Work the problem?

I'm really tired of the doom-mongering for every possible brexit backlash. Another US conglomerate decides to hike its prices and everyone immediately blames the brexit voters, looking for a scapegoat.

Seems to me that every company trying to make a buck out of this opportunity should be met with a "no thanks." whilst we buy/use something else. There is a solution to most problems, we just need our country(ies), its government and its people to stand up and make the decision work in the best interests of our country(ies).
