Re: Only satisfied customer?

I've been with TT since '08, and I'm just about to sign up for another year. They always give me a cheaper deal than the year before, and my 22Mb line has never given me any problems.

Until this weekend...

Too bleeding edge for me...

I have toyed with Fedora a few times, but it is just too bleeding edge for my tastes.

Centos 6.3 on servers. (And some clients with Gnome 2) 5 year support FTW! 10 years at a push.

Ubuntu Mint or Mint Debian Edition with Mate or Cinnamon DE for most home users. I used to be a big Ubuntu fan, even an evangelist, but they fucked up big time with Unity for me. I personally stopped system upgrading at 10.04.

+1 for the emachines jobby. I'm using one as my general pc. Low power consumption, more than powerful enough for general net stuff, plus HDMI and optical audio output. Not too good for a build machine though. Apparently, it's an Acer inside.

Re: "Allegro" wins the day."

Don't laugh, but I had an "All-aggro" way back in the 80s, and it was a very comfortable, (hydrogas suspension) nippy, (I had the 1.6) car. The slightly squared off, or was that rounded square? steering wheel was actually fine to use. (Mine was leather too.)

It did use about half a gallon of oil every week, and obviously smoked like a trooper, but good while it lasted... :o)
