Shoot it down?

This debacle seems to highlight something. The fact they couldn't shoot it down. Or get it down any other way.

To me, that's a rather large hole in this lands defensive abilities....

Surprise! VAT, customs likely to get a bit trickier in a Brexit no-deal world

Mike Brown

SOVEREIGNTY!!

VAT? VAT? Surely we will be getting rid of VAT? We are taking back control from our hated EU overlords, and its VAT invention.

No stinkin VAT on these hallowed shores! Prepare the Unicorns! Onwards to the uplands!

UBI

UBI is easy to set up and maintain.

Simply use the money that runs the welfare state, and give it to every citizen over 18. Bosh, job done.

If everyone gets a UBI, there is no need to have council/civil workers to admin the welfare state.

The bureaucracy costs of means testing, checking, interviewing, and actually filling the applications for benefits comes surprisingly close to giving everyone in the country £14k per year.

Then simply remove the tax free allowance, from earned wages, keep the current tiers of tax, and boom! UBI for all, with no additional cost to anyone.

E3 2015 in a nutshell: Hurry up Hoth, and plenty to Unravel

Mike Brown

The only reason i had not to buy a PS4 was taken from me at E3. Those bastards at sony finally gave it a media player. Damn them. I was quite happy with my ps3, smugly watching films and playing the occasional game. Now they are going to force me to upgrade, and then im going to have buy fallout 4, batman and battlefront. Scumbags....

The monopolies commission should be looking into his one. The largest landline company, that has a firm grip on the broadband market, buying the largest mobile company, sounds a little iffy.

Euro broadcast industry still in a fug over that 4K-ing UHD telly

My smelly Valentine: Europe's perfumers wake to V-Day nightmare

Mike Brown

I can see the point

Im very sensitive to certain perfumes, i go into sneezing fits that can last upto an hour. My throat tightens and my eyes stream all becuase someone wants to smell "nice". Its not an allargy i can avoid, like nuts or gluten, as by the time i realise what the person is wearing its far too late.

Trials of 'Iron Man' military exoskeleton due in June

Mike Brown

power source will be a amassive problem for these

There is a reason Tony Stark uses a fictional ARC reactor; the power needs for a suit of power armour is massive. Without a very effecient, and small battery these suits are going to very limited in range: the length of the power cord. I wonder what sort of plug they will use? Or will the just carry an adapter for all the oil rich countries?

Amazon, Hollywood, Samsung: PLEASE get excited about 4K telly

Mike Brown

one of the reasons HD took off so quicklywas the ps3 and a lesser extent the xbox. Game geeks wanted to see the much better graphics offered by the then next gen consoles. The ps4 and the xbone arnt offering 4k visuals, so i cant see a lot of people upgrading there sets till the ps5 or the xbox destiny (or what ever silly moniker they use, actually i might trademark that name....)

Microsoft yanks Surface 2 DIM SCREEN of DEATH fix in update snafu

Mike Brown

"but it's just a teeny bit disingenuous to write off all MS hardware projects as epic fails."

not really. Except the xbox, name me a MS hardware project that works brilliantly?

Infact even the Xbox is a failure: they spent billions buying market share, and so far, according to everyones best guess, still havnt made any profit from it. Everyone that bought a 360 has had mutliples due to the RROD issue, mostly at Microsofts expense.

MS suck balls when it comes to hardware. Oh sorry, i loved my 1996 sidewinder joystick. I killed a lot of rebel scum with it. But i dont think one ancient joystick saves MS's perpetual hardware cock ups

edit: now i think about it that joystick lasted about 6m before it died.....
