Will the MOAB (Mother Of all AdBlockers) finally kill advertising?

DeliberatusFreeman

Re: nice reference

ro watch it, and notice in the TV scene ('America's, funniest shots to the groin') ALL THOSE BOX ADS on either side ot the centralm2/3 of the screen where the program stream appears.

When do we have enough? How much is too much? And if the tidal wave teaches us to ignore it, what then?

VERY interesting.

A variant:

1:Forget the battery, you can plug it into a 2200 Mah ONE AND IT WILL RUN LONGER THAN YOU WILL.

2:Do a better wifi transciever in it, granting it longer range, more minds to poison... who said that?

3: improve the up/download speed a bit. Quite a bit.

4:You can stick it into a wall wart charger for a phone that sports a usb socket for the wire, and it runs until the power company stops. A surge supresser plug would also be nice.

Your pub/breakroom/student lounge/bus station now has a wifi server.

Hmmm. A stripped down linux, thppd, an SMTP server, this has possibilities.

4: protect uploads with a password. Downloads are free, as in at will, as in liberty.

MAYBE.

If it has the right minor elements AND a magnetic field, the upper part freezing might magnetize and retain a field. It has for several iron ore deposits.

Stealing Defeat out of the jaws of victory

The people in this article did it to themselves, and they deserve it. The man terminated is not liable or criminally chargeable.

Not so large, but i have seen people shoot themselves in the foot by being stupid, overbearing, officious, and/or simply dishonest, robbing their managers and other employees. Here is one small business implosion self engineered by the owner, who robbed the people who prospered him.

This man cheat his workers out of commissions for selling alarm systems and installs. Wonderful package deal, the finest electronics available at the time. Cheated mercilessly on sales commissions. Manager after manager put together a paper trail system to track appointments and the status of the meeting, payments, all that- and get fired, and the system vanished, so the new one had to start over. But NOW, we sales staff were suspicious and watching; When the last one went out the door, all the sales staff walked with him. YIPES.

Said GM and overlord boss/owner went frantic, tried to get us back. No deal, SEEYA. So he hired new and continued in his ways. He could not keep good sales people, and the ones simply milking the $8/hr (AD1995 this event) weren't worth their keep.

In time the ads in the paper stopped, so I drove by for a look see. Empty, evacuated. BBB reported the firm as closed.

Therein is the tale of the end of Network Security, stealing defeat out of the jaws of victory due to greed and dishonesty, and the destruction of employee trust.

Karma, it's a beautiful thing.

Lord

you improperly titled the article.

The last word in it should have been plural, so as to live 'up' to Reg's evil sense of humor.

Bloke in shed starts own DAB radio station - with Ofcom's blessing

matchmaking for raspberry pi's.

Interesting; I should get in contact with this bright fellow.

I have a pi here with a program in it which I wrote, which turns it into a robotic radio station. It plays the NBC tri-tone (from the 1940's) a station identification, a random commercial, and then plays a randomly selected program from a randomly selected program library. It then plays another commercial, and repeats the loop 7 more times, then does a station identification.

My pi and his pi should cross their wires together and put something interesting to put on the air, like my 230+ hours of old timer non copyrighted radio programs.
