Many years ago, all the employees in Education City, Doha, received an SMS message, warning them to stay inside the buildings as there was a tiger on the loose on the campus.

Some hours later, the all-clear was given.

Some further hours later, another SMS came, apologising for the fact that the original SMS was delayed by ONE DAY because the local telco assumed that it was spam, given the sheer volume of identical messages that arrived at the one time.

So yes, there was a tiger on the loose on the campus for a full day and no one knew!

A former Wanger here too. For the launch of Wang Cares, Wang Ireland took delivery of a brochure and some baseball caps, to be sent to all customers during the launch week. I still have my "Wang Cares" cap somewhere.

And the title of the launch week? Why, "Wang Cares Awareness Week", of course!

I was working at the time for the Irish branch (small) of an extremely large US company (tens of thousands of employees). The boss of the Irish branch asked me to send all the Irish employees a notification that he was leaving the company.

I, being an idiot, sent it to everyone in the US parent company too.

I was still getting replies when I left two years later.

The easiest way (in my arthritic experience) to close a Windows Store app is the old-school ALT+F4.
