What do you mean by content? Music, videos and books are equivalent on all, but APPS, my God, iOS is five years ahead - not to mention hardware, UI and a shit ton of intangibles. apple wins this round, what comes next?
The Apple 27" panel is an LG unit and the same as used in HP's ZR 27 model. Apple's does, of course, have a few niceties included like USB audio, iSight cam/mic and Thunderbolt, but the HP has more inputs, side USBs and costs around half as much. I bought the HP for home and use the Apple at work, don't know which I prefer.
eh? I've been using 30" and 27" inch Apple Cinema displays for years and they're great. Don't push the screen back to get the same angle of view as before, keep it the same distance as your prior monitor and enjoy the larger desktop size - that's the whole point. The original 30" was - essentially - two monitors in one.
Leopard to Snow Leopard was not a service pack, it was a do-over stripping out PowerPC code and re-writing the kernel and a host of other components. I seem to remember it cost about £25. SL to Lion cost about the same but was nothing like a service pack either, loads of additional features and (questionable) changes. You don't know what you're on about.
oh but you DO, performance from recent SSDs is absolutely epic when editing/grading etc. I'm using some Intel Cherryvilles at the moment and RAIDed bandwidth is over 1GB/sec. You NEVER wait for the disc to catchup. TimeMachine your boot drive onto a nice RAID1 pair of spinners and you're safe enough.
Of course everyone should be tutored in the basics of coding - in the full knowledge that 99% won't pursue it or care. At the very least, it will give them a little bit of insight into and respect for people who are skilled programmers. A proper, broad-based education should provide students with introductions into a wide variety of stimulating learning experiences, logic, information theory and programming are certainly among them.
We don't care what you think because we've seen and used high res screens for years. The one in the current iPad is fabulous, and obviously different/better to it's predecessor. Real world experience counts for a hell of a lot more than your made-up stats. Why not pop down to the shops and have a look at one so you can then fuck off back to whatever shithole you live in with a clue?

Perhaps he looked at one of the previous models and decided not to buy it, just as I did. You know, kind of a try before you buy? Maybe he also, like me, had an iPhone 4 with an amazingly sharp little screen and thought to himself, why would I buy a 10 inch phone that can't be used as a phone and that has a screen barely better than the one in my existing phone? Apple will probably include a higher res screen in their next iPad update, I think I'll reassess my purchasing decision when they do.

I can't believe you don't know this already (owing to the 80 gazillion iOS devices that now seem to be out in the wild), but iOS handles PDF quite beautifully. I can't imagine why you wouldn't be using PDF for your iOS app unless you've come up with a BETTER idea. Shit developers plague all platforms, unfortunately...

2. It's not an iPad 3. It's an update. Everyone but you seems to know this.
3. Improved graphics ARE an improvement. However, no-one is forcing you to upgrade your Apple product every time Apple issues an updated or redesigned model. If you genuinely believe you are required to do this then you need counselling.
Apple has updated last year's iPad 2 with a new screen type which offers higher resolution. That's an improvement. They've also improved the performance of their SoCs GPU. That's an improvement.
Only the mentally ill could find these facts a cause for writing an article like yours.
