No one wants to download 50 GB.
is the answer for Windows 7 slowdowns. :)
I was expecting an ad for FireDaemon :V
It's "couldn't care less", not "could care less".
If you could care less, you do care.
They better bring it to Belfast.
Completely and utterly agreed.
The most popular web services always have some sort of desktop client, because so much more can be achieved than in the horribly restricted browser environment.
...if this ever affects Rapidshare, Megaupload and similar sites.
Also AOL/CFW/TalkTalk don't seem to give a shit what I do :D
Registry "Cleanup" causes more problems than it solves (and has left PCs unbootable more than once for me), but otherwise it's a solid set of tools. Especially the System Control, which goes way beyond the normal windows control panel, and the disk usage analyser.
DRM has never noticibly intruded upon my usage of Vista, and the Office 2007 interface is a huge step up from 2003 and previous versions. Once you've designed a few user interfaces, you will learn to appreciate how incredibly versatile and compact the Ribbon is.
Saying you prefer toolbar spam simply because you know where things are is incredibly ignorant.
Maxtor all the way - I've knocked my external disk about 3 feet to the floor while it was running and it continued to do so happily. :V
I thought Ribbon was introduced in Office 2007 :V
Also Ribbon is awesome compared to toolbar spam :)
Inb4 someone misunderstanding this as a bad thing or some sort of invasion of privacy.
Yet another reason to run your own mail server.
Nothing can ever match RDP. Everything else is just a souped up feed of screenshots.
It's a colour screen, right?
Why on earth would you want to use VNC when RDP is available?
It hooks directly into the OS and sends the contents of windows, not screenshots of them (VNC).
And Windows 7 has added some pretty nice video playback functionality in its new version of RDP.
...as soon as I get an iPhone.
Get MPlayerCE for Wii and enjoy every video format under the sun streamed in full quality via standard windows file sharing.
Looks like a genuinely useful gadget, unlike the wireless thing.
Wow, a whine that was even remotely justified for once... I think.
You don't need to share files to pirate them. There are many services out there where you can simply download a file - no need for and uploading (sharing). This also arguably makes it less illegal.
"Who uses VGA cables anyway"
People who prefer the superior colour, response times and pixel density of analogue CRT monitors.
Could that jury be any more retarded?
someone that can prove his cat didn't do it.
Wasn't that Google?
This is actually a really good idea.
Only when Cisco start selling their own HTTP server will a website error be detrimental to their business.
When routing hardware goes wrong, you don't get a fancy error page.
- Plugin based.
- Works in Internet Explorer.
- Powered by V8.
Therefore, it is better than anything WebGL could ever achieve.
