Google promises 0.001 of revenue to free the slaves

0.001

I'm pretty sure the 0.001 figure is deliberate especially considering the related headline

"Google gives Eric Schmidt 124,999,900% salary increase".

Please carry on (ab)using the numbers like this, perhaps we'll begin to pay more attention to them when used in more important contexts.

Whats the problem?

Since when was this an AGW story? All the article states is that other things happen.

FAIL

Not associated with "adult products"

I browsed for hair care once and it's on my google list. I've looked at pr0n at least twice and it's not there. Is google really not taking advantage of this market? (Alternative religion isn't there either).

Doctors tell government to stop the health records roll-out

Headmaster

do they care?

Not sure that my neighbors actually care if i have hemorrhoids or clap, or even HIV so long as i don't sleep with them (not much problem since their 75+, they might shovel my snow if i get ill however).

Working in the health service its a real help if i can check what your history is when i try to diagnose your problem. Health care isn't so joined up that they give me the relevant information yet.

Paying for development

I've been running opera for years, and yes I used to pay for it. It's still my primary browser and I can't wait until I get 10.50 on linux. The mail client is almost brilliant, after a very short while the use of views becomes second nature. However it still doesn't support any public key encryption , stopping me using it as my primary client. This is a real shame since Unite give you such a nice way of making your public keys available.

Just because its hard

Is not a reason to not try. If we never took a risk where would we be?
