IPv6 now faster than IPv4 when visiting 20% of top websites – and just as fast for the rest

It's ironic that Netflix is noticeably faster on IPv6, since Netflix has been blocking my IPv6 connection attempts for the last two months or so.

Had to firewall off Netflix's IPv6 pool (2a01:578:3::/64) in order to get around the Geo fence.

Yes, I'm in the UK, and yes, I have a UK subscription.

How irritating!

Brits left cold by mobile internet

Cost vs Speed

Does this data include using your phone with WiFi?

I use my phone a lot to browse the net when there's WiFi, but rarely on 3G, because:

a) it's horrendously expensive (unless you have an iPhone on O2's unlimited) and

b) 3G sucks (3 certainly does; Vodafone seems to be best here, but VERY expensive)

Any uses for an old Mac G4?

I know a charity in South London who run music projects for primary school children and vulnerable adults. They are desperate for any kind of laptop (or even desktop), as their computers date back to the early 90s.

So how about giving it to charity? Their website is: http://www.pegopera.org

Geeky greets!
