Is this something to do with Mandleson?
Whenever I see some EU-based crapness based around security and other bollocks its usually Sir Hiss who's got his fingers on it.
Massive fail and we can't even vote him out now.

Having just got off the phone to one of the entrants I can confirm that many of them are shipping their cars over to Dakar directly and intend to continue by missing the 'hot spots'.
His biggest disappointment was not to be driving through Timbuktu.
Mind you, the car they were doing it was an L-reg Renault 5.... braver than I thought!

"While Redmond schemes of making the Xbox 360 a complete media hub for households by adding more and more popular third-party services,"
They could also go a long way to making this happen if they sorted out the fans that make more noise than any other console on the market, awful overheating and reliability issues etc..... just a thought......
I still have no idea why people continue to subscribe to their expensive service.
Football?
Go down the pub and have a few pints with your friends.
Sky1?
Oh great, Simpson's, Futurama etc.
All available on DVD and advert-free.
HD?
How much extra?
As was quoted further up there, a fool and his/her money are soon parted.

Greenpeace, a good excuse to be sanctimonious in public while wearing clothes that desperately need putting in the laundry.
I get sick to the back teeth of their mother hen - wagging finger attitudes, maybe they could come up with some solutions for a change?
Yes, big companies are all very very bad and evil, we know.
but this new chap really seems to be trying to raise the bar.
I wonder why WW keeps getting people in who have no 'nouse' or understanding of the digital economy - or more importantly - audience needs.
I could pull a better marketing strategy out of my arse.
Don't come crying to me when Murdoch gets you disbanded and sold-off you eejuts!
If you want decent coverage, you need to have masts near to places that users are.
Due to the sort of *intellectual reasoning* of Daily Mail readers and people who are lead blindly by 'screeching' reactionaries and Doctor's wives, network operators have difficulty in placing cells.
"Not in my back yard" is the cry... and then, "why isn't my phone working? I want my money back waaaaaaa!"
What these people don't realise is that a local cell kicks-out less RF and using a phone that's trying to cling onto one bar of coverage. This is due to the locally attenuated engineering designs built-into all cellular networks and phones. Closer to a mast, less RF etc.....
Next time some badly informed person comes knocking at your door, send them packing if you want to get decent coverage.
Tragic that people are choosing to take their own lives. NO job is worth that!
FT needs to be more clear with its staff as to plans, objectives and expectations.
In other words, this company needs to give its staff a good listening to.
I am a bit surprised that the 'pressure' is so great that the unions haven't called everyone out on strike however, after all, this is France.
.... and a cartel that actively discourages new operators from joining.
I ran a radio station in the Midlands for a while and we were very serious in trying to obtain a space on a DAB mux. We contacted the main players who ran the existing multiplexes, but were told they were full. Upon closer inspection they had self-filled with automated services (carrying no advertising). When we queered further the costs quoted were more than prohibitive for anyone other than operators trying to maintain their dominance through sheer size.
The economics don't add-up and while listeners are not getting more choice or a perception of an improved service this 'switch-over' will never happen.
Forget the quality issue for a second, the real problem lies at Ofcom's door for not thinking the regulation through.
While I agree children must be protected, we don't live in a society packed full of child molesters.
This is another example of how a failing government is trying to control the population.
Talk about the stupidity of educated people.
The freaks that want to abuse children will just go underground and it will become more difficult to track them.
Well done unelected government, another triumph.
My parents go out there on a regular basis (something to do with church work) and regularly bring back the most depressing and vile stories of how this country's government is little more than a bunch of "East-End thugs in suits", but about twice as crooked.
Most of the people who live there consider themselves to be rich if they own a bag of rice.
Taxing the only way they can communicate in an affordable manner is another example of their corrupt and utterly despicable ruling class.
Rant over,
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a communist uprising there one day soon.
All I want is a phone that does voice, has a keyboard and does text.
It also needs a decent comms module that is sensitive enough to not drop calls.
If I wanted to code on the train I'd take a laptop.
I hope the 'feel' of the keyboard is as good as it looks.
Good work Sony Ericsson.
