I have the scoop

The message sent from LV426 was rather more comprehensive than the company had let on....It was actually a Wikipedia page explaining about the origins, make up and destructive force of the Aliens.

So what about the ASH switch?

The Company had actually got the message years before but it took the Wiki so long to load that they didn't get the message until years later just in time for the launch of Nostromo and a quick crew change.

So what's the new story. They are going to tell us (John Hurt voice over) what the Wiki page said and sprinkle some recreations in there as well. Much like what was done at the start of the LOTR when they filled in the story of the origins of the ring

Hardly surprising with HSBC

I recently had my card cloned and money stolen using a machine in Eastern Europe. When speaking to the Bank they of course blamed me for being careless with my card or using it obvious way.

When I pointed out that my card had never been used in any cash machine or shop (its the bills account all of which are paid by standing order) they where rather stuck for words. Of course they would lanch a full investigation into how my details go into the wild and get back to me.

Growing up in Northern Iron'

Growing up in Northern Iron' I and everyone that lives there is used to this level of harassment by the police.

First of all it starts with Tough Policing then it moves to Aggressive Policing and before you know it Police sanctioned murder. 'We couldn't get the evidence but we knew he was guilty'.

I moved here 18 years ago and was amazed the police didn't have guns or the seriously bad attitude. You could stop and have a chat with a policeman about nothing much and it would be a largely pleasant conversation. Even if they were investigating you for some minor misdemeanour.

Now England feels just like home where the police are to be avoided at all costs.

Lament your loss of Freedom because once its gone it will never come back.

Big Brother

I have children in School

And I want them exposed to as much as possible in the safe and controlled environment of their school. I would love them to meet authors, interesting people from the community and anyone else that will have a positive effect on their education.

How do I decide who will have a positive effect on my child's education. I take a interest in my child's education. Radical idea I know having an input into what my child learns and not relying on the school to just do their job.

But I do expect all these visits to be supervised by her teachers who I trust implicitly. They have all been checked because it is reasonable considering the amount of time and influence they will have over my child. So I don't see why vetting is needed for casual visitors or even casual Professional visitors. At no time will these visitors be allowed to have a private sessions with my child or take them away from school.

This is just another example of Labours belief that the magic bullet of a database can cure all of societies ills.
