Furious gunwoman opens fire at YouTube HQ, three people shot

Ryan Kendall

Quoting Dictators in YouTube videos

Hmm, upset woman shoots youtube staff because some videos were delisted because she started quoting that 1930s-40s German Dictator.

Well done, UK.gov. You hit superfast broadband target (by handing almost the entire project to BT)

Ryan Kendall

Re: Maybe

I'm on up to 24Mbps and it's at 18-20 which struggles to stream Netflix.

50Mbps is still slow and i'd called that average as I can get that speed just using 4G on my mobile phone at home and I'm talking rural North Cambridgeshire.

The town I lived in was upgraded to infinity 4 years ago but BT decided not to upgrade the cabinet in the town centre (they only non-infinity location in town)

You get a lawsuit! And you get a lawsuit! And you! Now Apple sued over CPU security flaws

Ryan Kendall

Apple Joke

What makes me laugh is the thought that a mobile device was 'secure' in the first place.

The moment you install any apps, it's gone forever

Yes, your old iPhone is slowing down: iOS hits brakes on CPUs as batteries wear out

Ryan Kendall

Not much else you can do

Not much else Apple can do, the phones have a life of 3-4 years before the batteries cycle out.

Irrepalcable parts = obsolescence by design.

Most people replace after 2 years. (or an iSheep at every new iPhone release)

Used iPhone Safari in 2011-12? You might qualify for Google bucks

Ryan Kendall

why not sue Apple

But Apple track you anyway so I don't really see this as anything but a lawyer cash grab.

If it wasn't for the financial reward I don't think any ios use would be bothered.

Indian call centre scammers are targeting BT customers

Ryan Kendall

fake cli

I get these all the time the 'BT Call Blocking' phone can't block the numbers are they use fake caller id that is an actual BT Call Centre number.

Unless it's someone with an English, Welsh, Scottish, or Irish accent I'll just hang up on them.

If it's important they'll post a letter.

Openreach pegs full fibre overhaul anywhere between £3bn and £6bn

Ryan Kendall

Proportional Payments

And it's copper users who are paying for it.

I'm on a 16Mbit copper ADSL but 20 metres down the street, they get 80Mbits FTTC and they pay 2/3rds the price. And BT said they are not upgrading my address for the foreseeable future. (even though its the only cabinet in town that's left to upgrade)

If I get less bandwidth I SHOULD PAY LESS.

Hard-up Brits 'should get subsidy for 10Mbps'

Ryan Kendall

10Mbps is practically useless for anyone with more than one PC.

Everyone should have 50Mbps minimum by 2020, we are falling far behind the rest of Europe.

I'm already payin for BT 24Mbps and ive got a friend who gets BT 200Mbps(FTTH) for the same price i pay for mine.

Prime Minister May hints at shaking up Blighty's 'dysfunctional' rural broadband

No even rural yet

Obviously I'm in a town with a population of 11,000 is not classed as rural.

But welcome to Cambridgeshire, where BT have confirmed to me that they are not doing FTTC for the foreseeable future. But the small villages surrounding my town get Infinity already :-(

Blocking ads? Smaller digital publishers are smacked the hardest

Ryan Kendall

Ads on phones

Ads on webpages on phones are very annoying they fill up the 5" screen and you need a pin to close them. Otherwise closing the ad with your finger you start opening up Google Play, or AppStore.

the youradchoices adverts tend to be particularly annoying. "remember that office chair you looked at 3 months ago?" , "no?" , "well here are more charis for you to look at"
