Hydrogen-powered two-seater car unveiled

To Little Too Late

The car is too small, too slow, hauls too little and as Honda found out with their Insight hydrogen car, can't go very far if the fuel isn't available.

Again a company spends a ton of money on the body design when the drive system is what really counts and they messed up on both counts.

Opera to 'reinvent the web' in four days

Opera still doesn't get it

They always make all these lofty promises and new capabilities some almost work but for the most part their browsers continually dis-apoint because they adhere stubbornly to imaginary web rules which means Opera still won't open a majority of sites, ( can't browse) making it just more worthless software..

Hulu headed for subscription service scheme?

Dumb and Dumber

And with fee based system they will undoubtedly do like cable TV did and increase the advertising and commercial breaks so that you get for every three minutes of program 7 minutes of commercial but with that and their subscription fee they will get to watch their user base shrink like a rock.

I can see some movies or programs could be pay per view, but HULU is not the only game in town and if they mess too much with what they have they still risk vaporization all together cause people on the net are accustomed to getting it for free.

If they can't make it the way they are now then they are doing something seriously wrong.

Opera 10 debuts with 'Turbo' boost

CC

Opera takes you nowhere really FAST!

Now you have the Turbo Boost button that scrambles graphics to gain online speed, great for dialup users or maybe they could just use the SHOW IMAGES button built into Opera....dumb!

Opera is still the same gets you there fast then falls flat on its face browser because the "Site isn't standards compliant" while every other browser seems to do just fine.

Opera after all these years still doesn't get it.

With the latest Opera 10, rather than work on functionality they are more interested in "How it looks".

Tested over the pit...again?

The original tests made using a grated pit essential because landing on a solid surface caused the engine to ingest superheated exhaust gas which reduces thrust while causing the engine to backfire or worse yet implode....just a little something they forgot to mention.

So imagine wanting to land but first you have to find the grated pit, then hover and pinpoint land while at the same time being shot at.

Fed up with the hype...people need something real NOW!

I am so tired of seeing these "proposed vehicles", time for the manufacturers to put up or shut up...you notice how the time lines keep dragging out another and another year and now they're back to drawings.

What the world needs in not a new car but an engine battery module that can be used in pre-existing vehicles.

Right direction

Finally, a company that has the right idea, to take an existing car and upgrade it, saves a ton of money and achieves the same goal, getting this stuff in the hands of the drivers.

There are several other California companies doing a similar thing with Korean trucks and cars but they are primarily for fleet sales only.

The more the merrier, one day something might actually become available.

This shows that Eco don't got to be Ugly and they took a current design, made it usable with trunk in front and nice hatch and storage area in the rear that can also actually haul something, ah, the Family Truckster Lives!

I like everything about it and the price is not really too bad for what you get.

Count on their being two years or so late on delivery, but they are a flexible company and will undoubtedly make good, this is the direction the US auto industry needs to be moving full steam in.

Opera promises netbook and mobile Turbo boost

CC

My Bad, Opera Aggrivation

Well, it turned out that the speed increase I had noted was not from Opera but from my ISP who had just finished activating some new repeaters in their system.

Operas non Turbo speed was good but the Turbo addition (now that Opera Turbo is actually turned on) actually slowed things down and the graphic quality took a heavy hit while Flash application simply do not work as well.

So, with that all I can say is just more of the same old same old from Opera, now back to the real world and FF.

CC
Black Helicopters

It definitely does work...so far, but is the Opera aggrivation worth it?

In typical Opera fashion, 10.001 does open pages faster and in my case 50% would not be over stating the increase with my 1.5meg by 384 service.

Unfortunately it is still a love hate relationship as Opera is still too site fussy to be remotely considered a main stream browser, so again like with all their unique and forward looking innovations they have come up with they continue to overlook the core problem and that is still and always will be their bull headed insistence on sticking to their mystical standards which again muck things up for Opera with the typical Opera result, you go know where fast.

This Turbo idea is neat but not new as there are other Proxy sites that do the same thing if you want filtered internet, so will use it for what I can knowing Opera's inherent limitations and continue using FF as my main browser unless I need some aggravation, then I will use Opera.

Opera chief: Microsoft's IE 8 ‘undermines’ web standards

CC
Black Helicopters

Re: Re: Re: Opera Insignificant

The biggest problem with Opera is not so much their innovative features, it is that the underlying browser and their bone headed and stubborn excuse for why their browser doesn't work on the web (NOT STANDARDS COMPLIANT).

Oh sure, Opera does open some pages faster only to be stopped dead in its tracks by a non compliant code...so with Opera you go NOWHERE FAST!

The world is full of non compliance but according to Opera if it doesn't comply the world will come to an end, and with their browser it does because it just doesn't work while the other NON compliant browsers (shame on them) like IE, Firefox, Google (for some mysteriously unknown reason for which Opera just can't figure out) get you from point A to point B on the web much better than fussy old Opera. Opera just keeps pounding the drum for standards that simply don't exist and that is why they will never be significant.

CC
Black Helicopters

Opera Insignificant

If Opera built a browser to compete with IE 8 then that would be newsworthy, but they haven't built anything worth using for years now and their dysfunctionality is always attributed to the same lame line...must not be standards compliant....it has gotten real old Opera.

Supercar maker pitches 'leccy sportster with stunning spec

CC

Very Strange

The thing I can't figure out is why they didn't do this to the pre-existing CCX rather than waste the money and time on a new looking car rather than focus on the most important thing and that is the drive system, I could care less about what the car looks like.

Another design fiasco that will never see the light of day.
