Ad watchdog: Amazon 'misleading' over Prime next-day delivery ads

MJI Silver badge

Re: The Prime Directive

Funny but I signed up due to him!

When TG with CHM was your favourite TV programme you will do things like that.

MJI Silver badge

For me

Grand Tour was the tipping point.

Also watched a few other series exclusive to them, or only available elsewhere on pay channels, and unlike TPBTV the US stuff is logo free.

For viewers like me Prime is excellent, and expect to see the streamers (them and Netflix mainly) hurt the established pay satellite companies.

Next and same day is a nice bonus.

How do you make a Windows NT server 4x quicker? Stick Netware on it.

Light drinking

I always feel better when I have had a small amount of drink, stress tends to drop, feel more relaxed.

I do like red wine as well, so that is more goodness.

And I do get less stressed than the office hardly ever drink alcohol person, and tons less than Mr energy drinks and coffee.

Not drinking at all to me is a bit perverse.

Re: Some peoples wants are my hates

Not restart the phone but software running on it.

Took 5 minutes to stop all the blody pay shite before it was back to annoying.

And I am also unable to delete the icon for it.

None of the children want it either, they have the two previous HTCs.

I'd been happy to have still used the N8 from before the landfill Androids.

MJI Silver badge

Some peoples wants are my hates

I detest force installed crap I would not want to use, even worse when force restarted and forced to run when you are trying to use said device. I had to use my phone this morning and it took me 5 minutes to get it usable.

Samsung are really bad at this, enough that if my next work phone is one it will go unopened to CEX.

So what is there with

Decent camera

As little forced installed crap as possible

Facebook not even installed.

Worst thing I can think of car wise are body kits that let your premium quality car from good manufacturer look like a premium car from a knob manufacturer.

Why would you want a top end Opel to look like an Audi?

(Only rebrands people liked were Cadillacs as Opel and Vauxhalls as Holden)

Re: Usual errors

Do you really trust faceache to FULLY disable and not do a thing?

I don't. Just why did they go to the hassle of force install just to allow full disable?

MJI Silver badge

Re: Usual errors

Got phone, uninstalled faceshit, update comes along, installs activates and disables uninstall

What is left on it to spy on me?

MJI Silver badge

Compulsary facebook = no sale

My current work phone was fine until

An update added crap to the camera

The next force installed and activated facebook

It also disabled uninstall of faceshit

It also added a faceshit icon to the phone

Then a contactless pay system which cannot be disabled, uninstalled and sometimes starts up for no reason. Oh and Icon unremoveable.

Only reason not lump hammered is it worth around £80 at CEX.

My next work phone WILL be clean Android or it will go to CEX unopened and the money from both put towards a phone with no shit.

JC does have a clue

Borrowed this from Independent as it is not the well known video

“I suppose that now is as good a time as any to declare my hand. I’m with the man whose wife we fancy. I’m in,”

“Isn’t it better to stay in and try to make the damn thing work properly? To create a United States of Europe that functions as well as the United States of America? With one army and one currency and one unifying set of values?

“Britain, on its own, has little influence on the world stage. I think we are all agreed on that. But Europe if it were well run and had good cohesive, well thought-out policies, would be a tremendous force for good”.

Every time a mobile telephone gets an update tons of things get forced, we were given Samsung phones and I will now have to root it.

Force installed no uninstall Facebook

Force installed no uninstall, no disable, no icon delete, have to force stop EVERY BOOT, Samsung pay

That is two of us at work now who will refuse to accept another Samsung phone

MJI Silver badge

All a big fail

Did people really thing EU exit would go well?

Anyway, it is pretty silly to block us from Galileo as there are other consequences.

1) They will have to refund our contribution.

2) We can turn off their UK developed encryption.

Even though I disagree with leaving, I think the EU are playing this wrong with Galileo. The UK could easily scupper it.

Anyway since it was developed here I am sure we could just use it without EU permission.
