Chinese rocket parts land on village

The Poms

having a great time sneering at the Chinese because some Rocket parts landed on a House,

The English did not succeed in any Rocket launches at all when they were at Woomera in Australia many years ago.

You gave up and left space to the Americans,Russians, Chinese and Japanese.

The Rockets on your Submarines are American and can only be launched if the Yanks will approve the launch/launches.

I remain,a disobedient servant of Her Majesty .

Re: Seriously

Hello Robinson,I remember CFCs very clearly. I spent a lot of money investing in a CNG fuel system for my car when the Government of NZ told us that this was necessary as petrol emissions were destroying the Ozone layer.

However they lost interest in this problem and over a period of not many years, the availability of CNG reduced and then the last Service Station in town told me that their compressor had failed and it was not economic for them to renew it.

Global Warming is the latest thing to alarm us, and I notice that it is a wonderful device for gauging a vast amount of money as Carbon Tax to save us from the current imminent doom

I do no longer believe anything that Governments say , and that includes Global Warming.

Hell will freeze over before I believe in the alarmist statements that Politicians spout.

Munich decision to change to Linux invoked a panic in Microsoft with visits from top execs, and bribery to prevent this mutiny.

WTF?

Time passes - like wind and water

And regarding the passing speed in the new allegedly level of accuracy,

Who is going to require / make us of it?

Time passes at different speed/velocity depending on the strength of the gravitational field you are in and the velocity that you are traveling.

so time will be different for every thing and everybody if you are going to go in for the new order of time keeping.

As was said by the troops in WW2- It all sounds like Bullshit to me.

Just a few thoughts.

China is a much better/nicer place than it was during Mao's time, and even better than pre WW2.

Famines that killed tens to hundreds of millions were the lot of the Chinese in living memory.

They may not have the same workplace standards of the West today , but not so long ago the conditions in mines, factories and other workplaces were pretty grim.

But recent economic events in Europe and USA will almost certainly cause a decrease in living standards for the 99%, perhaps catastrophically so.

Planck's constant (denoted h) is a physical constant that is used to describe the sizes of quanta. It plays a central role in the theory of quantum mechanics, and is named after Max Planck, one of the founders of quantum theory.

Heisenberg showed that the uncertainity in the position of the particle times the uncertainity in its velocity times the the mass of the particle can never be smaller than a certain quantity, which is known as Planck's constant. This limit doesnot depend on the type of particle,or on the way in which one tries to measure the position or velocity of the particle.

Planck's constant is also used in measuring energy emitted by light photons, such as in the equation E=hv, where E is energy, h is Planck's constant, and v (Greek letter nu) is frequency.

The value of Planck's constant is:

6.626068 x 10^-34 m^2 kg/s(Joules/s).

or does it hinder?

So Wrong

Dear Anonymous Coward,

The screaming greenies here i n New Zealand are opposed to Hydro generated power.

The reason for opposing one Hydro scream was that some obscure snail lived in the area where the dam was to be built.

Then there is the catastrophic scenario of dams causing earthquakes, sure but bloody small ones.

Can you answer a simple question - How many Japanese have died or been given more than the acceptable radiation exposure from the Fukushima plant?

You are being extremely optimistic about the Atomic Bomb.

They had only very early theory work on it.

No supply of Heavy Water and if you look at the effort the Yanks put into it (with much help from Britain), you would realise that any idea of a successful production of a bomb is fanciful .

If the Allies thought that it was likely then Germany would have got so many of our Atomic Bombs the place would really have been made a waste land.
