F.O.I Requests
I think we need an F.O.I request to M.I 6 to see how many of Q's gadgets 007 has lost in the past year.

It's the RDF that really pisses me off. Apple makes quite nice products for the well off and nearly bugger all for everyone else. Yet people who have very little money are brainwashed into believing that buying an Apple product will significantly make their lives better. It's mainly "media types" and a few tech jorno's i.e. Jon Honeyball etc who are the worst offenders. A brief trawl through Twitter during IOS 5 download day showed what a bunch of sheep these people are.
Some of them make me feel sick. I used to follow Rob Brydon on Twitter until he caught the Apple bug. He recently did a reading of his new book (I wouldn't bother it's crap) at the Apple store which he called his "spiritual home". WTF! That was it, a swift unfollow occurred before I threw up over my keyboard.
Yep, the shouty, squeaky CEO should go. The question is who is going to fill his size nines?
This is a serious question, should it be someone from within the company or a new broom? If it is a new broom then who has the technological vision and the respect of the investment community? Whatever happens they need to get it right first time, a job that could be very difficult. We could be in for a very interesting six months or so.
I for one would like to put myself forward as the primary member of the Non-Conductive Metal Working Group. I guarantee that all thefts of non-conductive metals will be solved within one day. I'd be willing to provide this service for the nominal sum of £500 per day.
A set of these connected up to an appropriate amp and connected to a CD source playing The Small Faces, Lazy Sunday Afternoon, on infinite repeat, very loudly for a couple of hours, whilst I go out. That should sort next door out and remind them that the walls are quite thin.
"Wouldn't it be nice to get on with me neighbours
But they make it very clear they've got no room for ravers"
He He
P.S yes, yes I know that H&S would probably break the door down but own can dream...
"This will protect our existing customers and make it impossible for others to take our services unless they pay for them legitimately"
I just wish they would say what they mean for once. It'll stop the thieving bastards nicking our service and doing us out of money. "Protect our existing customers" my arse..
I love the Nano I've had two (2G and 3G) and loved them both. Mine is starting to play up as the "menu" switch doesn't always register. So I was really looking forward to the refresh and maybe getting one as a Christmas pressie. But, Ho Dear! the new Nano is shit. Why do they take away features and call it progress? I wasn't too bothered about the video camera but not being able to play video is a problem. Yes, I know it's a tiny screen and I normally listen to audio however, occasionally I download a video podcast to watch, now I can't. So the new design is more expensive and with less features. I'm going to be looking around for a new 4G whilst stocks last.
Oh course Fuck is offensive, that's its whole point. If you're looking for words that aren't overly offensive to mean "having a fuck" then use shagging or similar.
Sometimes you need a good swear word. I have nothing against the word fuck, I use it myself when I need to. However, I don't use it that often, when I use it people around me know I'm seriously pissed off.
If you use fuck all the time when "lesser" terms are available, what do you use when you really want to swear? You have to keep some words in reserve for when you mean it. There's nothing wrong with having offensive words in a language. You seem to feel that we should be free to use all words at any time, anywhere. That would have the effect of dumbing down English as it synonymies "fucking" with "shagging" . Although the literal meaning is the same the cultural meaning is not, and long may it be so.
I feel sorry for the small minority of losers who feel they do not have the vocabulary to talk/write without keeping some words in reserve
Once a manufacturer makes a Wintel driver it'll work on 95% of all Windows pc's. Therefore because of market share, manufacturer's of windows gadgets do not always feel the commercial need to write drivers for the Mac environment. Given that Apple is a minority computer maker.
However, as others have said, if Apple were to produce drivers for Wintel systems, they would sell a lot more magic trackpads. They are not being forced to write a Wintel driver, it just makes commercial sense.
It is overrated, and often incorrect. However, having spent far to long with" Tag&Rename" getting my 60GB cd collection correctly tagged. I cannot understand why any manufacturer would omit support for it in their player. If I was looking for a new media player then lack of ID2/3 support would stop me buying it.
What's your issue?
Your OS is still supported.
You have read the article and updated to SP2?
As to upgrading to Win 7. If you look online you'll find many sites telling you how to do a fresh install of Win 7 using an upgrade disk. OK, so you will have to back up your data, but you do that already of course. You'll also have to reload any software which could be a pain. However, an upgrade from one version of an OS to a new major version is never a particularly good idea.
I may be missing the point here but I don't understand your rant.
It's from an "analyst" so it must be right then. Also 10's of millions these days is not a large number in the great scheme of things.
Interesting to note that they are talking about "NeTabs" i.e very cheap low powered devices. Not necessarily a higher price all singing all dancing product.
