Unhappy

If only we could harness the power of overcast & cloudy weather.

The possibilities for the UK would be endless.

Instead my Solar Water Heater produces limitless hot water enabling me to have lengthy hot showers using up prolific amounts of water during the hose pipe ban, but is basically disfunctional around Sept. Despite what people say there is simply not enough sun time during late autumn no matter what the ambiant temperature. And the Govt estimates a 25 year repayment if you factor in the NPV of your investment. :-( Luckily it was the previous owners who shelled out all the cash and not me.

Cost effective

Despite all the Eco Talk about the dreamliner this genuinely uses less fuel per seat to take people to the other side of the world. Much less than the Dreamliner if they are both fully packed to the brim.

Who cares about sardines what we know is that people talk and talk but when it comes to down to it they buy the cheapest seat that they can find.

Spitfires or Hurricanes

Strictly speaking it was the Hawker Hurricanes and Spitfire combo that Hitler was afraid of, and also He didn't attack Russia because he thought he could, he attacked them because he needed the Oil from Baku without which his whole campaign was pushed on Synthetics. 14,000 Hurricanes fought in WW2 and they took down substantially more German planes than the Spitfire. By quite a margin (nearly twice as much!) 63% Hurricane 37% Spitfire.

Space Pencils

Actually Everyone used pencils in space originally (US include) and every used the Fischer Space pen for the last 30 years because no one likes getting floaty bits of pencil sharpenings in your eyes. Ironically the twist is that the Russians use the fischer pen.

As for the GLONASS the recievers are not CRT. A fact that a quick wikipeadia will also remedy. Also there are only 11 of the 24 birds required. As such it is great if you are planning on using your Rom Tom visiting an Auntie in Chechnya but it is not much use if she lives in Chepping Norton.

Punch Card Virus

This got me thinking and I went up to the attic and found this punched card virus I had kicking about. I would email it to you but for some reason my CD Drive wouldn't read the 1950's Remington-Rand UNIVAC format.

Virgin Trains's mysterious full-price ticket promotion

Jan

Title

Presumably SWT decided they would make the queues very long by only selling expensive tickets so that users would give up and board without a ticket so that they could fine them...

Thailand pulls access to register on grounds of open and free comment

Does this mean that the Thai government is going to pull access to this website because of items that might offend?

Personally I will defend your right to offend who ever you like, to the death! Even if it's something about that bozo called Voltaire who gets acredited for every smart saying that there is.
