And the Chinese Gov shuts down Westerner's businesses in China by demanding what they can never give to continue doing business in their country. I keep asking myself, what about "Long March" do western CEOs not understand. This happening was just a matter of time.
Personally I'd love to see the Chinese make their own OS from Windows code. They might actually fix a few stupid things like the built in Name Length limit as well and other stupid #%$@ I'm tired of putting up with in Windows.
how commercial aircraft's lower than ground level cabin pressure environments affect the Li-ion batteries. I just imagine they expand a small amount. It seems to me this might make them more likely to burst open if bent.
btw. Is it time for a "Burning Smartphone" icon to use here in the comments yet?
It just hit me. I had a ThinkPad from about year 2006 had a touch sensitive control strip above the keyboard just like that! The stupid thing began to wear out and it was near impossible to use.
I think people in the future will look at this one as a awkward departure from their design path. That strip actually makes it less elegant and more clunky in design aesthetics. Or in other words, it looks to me like a gimmick. In essence we've had usable features(missing SD card port?) traded out for a keyboard gimmick at an unreasonable price increase to shore up sagging profit figures.
(just my unreasonable 2 cents worth)
I've successfully switched over all my Evernote data to "Notes" on my mac. I'm sort of shocked it went this well. I just wanted out from under the pay for play Sword Of Damocles that I've been watching Evernote begin to string up over my head. Now you say they're moving to Google's cloud. Well Evernote using G-cloud is the final nail in the coffin. I wish them well but I'm not going with them on their new journey.
I'm calling B.S on NASA. I think they have found water by more than one means and this kind of release makes me wonder if there's an agenda to cause disinterest in manned exploration. NASA is like a kid that doesn't want to go somewhere and so drags his feet all the way...
The timing of this article is uncanny. I was just searching for a way I can save my Evernote data to something else. I use Evernote so lightly there's just no way to justify paying the price they're asking for.
I hope they haven't shot themselves in the foot. I wonder if they think they are stronger than than Lotus Notes was when the
Terminator unit Microsoft came after them. If so they might want to research it some more.
"Mac shipments of 4 million units and $5bn represented a 9 per cent drop in revenue and a 12 per cent drop in shipments."
That seems to line up with what other Mac users I've met tell me, that they have been holding off new Mac purchases. They don't feel the latest versions of OSX have delivered the Apple Experience and quality they're used to and new Macs are over due.
John Crisp I want to hug you!
Last time I mentioned this Microsoft strategic behavior and an one of the examples of it shown in that article, it fell on def ears. I thought I was the last one in the room who remembered and understood this. I also didn't know that it was discovered in "United States v. Microsoft antitrust". Thank you for that link and for Remembering.
